How to change name?

I think it's possible to change name in this forum since there is a "display name history", but I can't find how to...

In the forum help, there is a mention of "Display Name" option but I can't see it

Can someone help on how to activate that menu and change my name?

That shouldn't be an issue you can change your name up to 3 times in a 30 day time span.

True, but maybe he did exactly that.

It's possible but given how his posts are worded it sounds more like he wanted to change his name for the first time and can't find the display name tab. Honestly when I first read this I thought it might have been a forum function that was removed due to heavy load on the forum like what happened before, after I checked my own profile and found the tab I knew that wasn't the case.

No I never was able to change my name unfortunately, as I don't have the option to do so.

You might have to send Ashal a PM it could be an issue with your account that only He can fix.

It seems not all have this problem as I'm seeing the option just fine.

I wonder if the Email account used to make the account could cause this issue? Some people were complaining about having issues with the site using a Gmail account.

 

I used a live account to make my LL account and have the display name tab.

I used Gmail to set up my account and i do have the 'display name' listed in settings.

 

Maybe its the browser your using?

My option works if someone wanted to know. I have been here for over a year perhaps that makes a difference. I have as far as I can remember been able to change the name since about 500 post or so. Don't know why anyone would have problems with this part of the site.

I've been a member since June 2011.  I have well over 500 posts.  I even tried it on firefox since I do use Chrome.  Still nothing.

That is very strange. I am sure I had that option somewhere around 500 post. Could have been 1000 post. You have been here longer than I have and still nothing. I have Firefox as well. just for fun I tried explorer and the same thing happens. I am able to access the name change. So sorry you can't. I don't have any thoughts of changing my name in the future, sorry that I have the ability. Wish I could give it to you....

Google chrome ~ have the option, (300ish posts)

Pretty sure I've had the option since 50 ~ 100 ish posts.

This is a very strange issue for sure. I really do think this is something that would need Ashal to correct if it's even possible.

This is bad.  I really need that option.  I don't want to be Kimict anymore.  I want to change it to the name of my Elder Scrolls character.  The Dunmer who is having fun presenting the representatives of the elementals of The Chronicles of Noah.  I want to be.......
