Hi there, I have just installed your mod but im having a problem, i have been on these forums now for about 30 mins but cant find anything...

 

When I enter the captured dreams store, the assistants tell me to speak to the master, i open dialoge with her, and she says welcome, speak to me if you have any questions...

Thats it!

 

cant do anything, no interactions,

I have all of the required mods, correct orders, uninstalled and reinstalled, new saves....

 

dont know what to do, I dont even have the mcm window for this....

Please tell me where Y have gone wrong lol

 

The missing MCM menu tells me that the scripts are not running properly. Speaking with the Master for the first time sets up a number of variables and if they are not set up then it will not move on to the main dialogue. Move someplace away from the shop, go a clean save with it disabled and enable it again, hopefully that will let the scripts and menu set up properly.

 

Done this just, re-entered game, rediscovered CDS, still no mcm and the dialogue isnt progressing again...

 

 

I believe there is a mod on the Nexus that can start mcm menu's that fail to start up but I would not think that it would keep a quest from starting. The opening dialogue sets the Framework quest to stage 10 which sets up all the variables.

 

 

Is there a setstage option, which would get the ball rolling?

 

 

Setstage CDxFramework 10 is the stage it is set to but there will be other problems without the menu working.

 

i tried to initiate the forbidden books quest, yet i got a script error from zaz (or is it zad?), so the orc did nothing... but it still unlocked all the recipes... 

I don't know if this is a separate problem or not, but none of the items show up on the PC (gag, cuffs, chasity items), and the armbinders make the lower arms invisible.

I think ill try and run only the mods needed for captured dreams, do a fresh folder for the mods....

Right, i have completely wiped skyrim, reinstalled from steam, downloaded mod organizer, will now do everything through that, as it got real messy real quick before....

Will see if that sorts it.

Okay, after 2 hours, reinstalling all my mods, it appears to be working :P

i havent been to the shop, but i got the mcm window

so....

I know this has been asked before but limited internet at the moment so I'll just ask can someone tell me how to switch the target of the last expansion qeust from Ulfric to Brunwulf?

If you have completed the civil war quest and Ulfric is dead then try the things below, if he is not there because the main quest has not started (have not been to Helgen) then talk to his advisor.

 

A few things:

1- go back to a save just before the end of the 3rd quest, the closing dialogue is when it is set and see if it will set it properly

2- You can try resetting the quest then setting the stage to 10 again but it is no guarantee that it will work.

3- You can try bypassing part of the scene with Brunwulf:

---Go to Windhelm and into the palace

---setstage cdxexpquest04 220       - sets up and places erani

---setstage cdxexpquest04 230       - starts final scene with erani in windhelm

---disable your controls in the mcm menu so scene can run

After I start the second quest, the master hands me the items for Elewen, however the quest does not progress, can I force the next stage of the quest?

Can you post a master list of quest stages? I'm having problems advancing with the second quest, and I think I might need to force it.

sqv cdxexpquest02 will list all the stages for the quest.

 

Few things before you start skipping stages:

What stage are you on currently?  21- get package  22- get restraints  25- leave for embassy

Did you have the restraints placed on you? They should be red ebonite items.

Do you have any followers? If so I suggest dismissing them.

This mod seems to be working fine in my game up until the Thalmor quest. After my character is "greeted" by Elewen and sent to the quarters for the night it goes buggy. Neither of the two guards seems to have the keys to get out of the dungeon (either when alive to pickpocket or after they are dead) and I've searched every container in the room to no avail. Something in the room is popping up an activate to continue prompt. When I use that Elewen and another guard show up. Neither of them have the key available via pickpocket, the guard does not have it in death inventory and killing or tying up  Elewen just seems to cause a CTD every time. I have no mods that modify NPCs other than a Non-Essential mod.

This mod seems to be working fine in my game up until the Thalmor quest. After my character is "greeted" by Elewen and sent to the quarters for the night it goes buggy. Neither of the two guards seems to have the keys to get out of the dungeon (either when alive to pickpocket or after they are dead) and I've searched every container in the room to no avail. Something in the room is popping up an activate to continue prompt. When I use that Elewen and another guard show up. Neither of them have the key available via pickpocket, the guard does not have it in death inventory and killing or tying up  Elewen just seems to cause a CTD every time. I have no mods that modify NPCs other than a Non-Essential mod.

 

The interior spaces are not connected to the outside as not to interfere with the actual doors for the Embassy. Since there was no connection outside I didn't see areason to connect the interior spaces either.

 

No one has keys for things as the guards kept wandering in and out of the cells for no reason.

First off, don't sit down on that seat.  It will usually be the "Click To Activate" object which you will have a hard time clicking if you are seated on it.

 

Second., Use the Click To Active object which will either be the seat or the bed to advance the story.  Nobody has "keys" because you aren't supposed to be moving around yourself, the scenes in the quest will automatically move you to locations where you need to be .  You wouldn't be returned to the cell except it makes a great place to stop and save but that of course is why the "Click to Active" objects are there.

 

BTW, after Elenwin shows up and that scene progresses you will have another "Click to Active" object before the next scene (where you are gotten out of the cell).

Have you done any quests?  It's the quests being done that push the expansion.

A pervious post mentioned I needed to continue doing quests to make it progress. If so that is the problem. I thought just having time pass was enough.

I've installed CD on an existing character and I was wanting to skip though the main quests as I only really want to do the side quest stuff. Can I use this command immediately to skip over all those quests?

 

setstage cdxexpmain 980

 

Do I need to do anything else or should I wait for the three advertisement letters before using that command?

That will skip the 4 expansion quests, if you don't want to do them you should do it as early as possible (it can be done before it would normally start).

I believe I misread the mod description and/or made incorrect assumptions about it leading to this confusion. I assumed that the sub/dom progression of the mod meant there were different outcomes and play styles for the quests. Replaying the Thalmor scene without blindfold effects showed me the cell door appears to be closed, but characters can walk right through it out of the cell. With my character was blindfolded I missed that the door was closed and slipped right out of the cage. I was assuming that the quest was to escape and that the door was open for a moment when my character was put in the cell, thus allowing the escape attempt.

Thanks for the beautiful mod. And please don't send her to Elewen when she's fertile again, that ruins her figure right now and the chasity belts have to wait for a few months ...

Hi . so I have this weird issue with this mod . I am at the Elisif quest at the point where she asks me to put the items on the table . But instead of doing that,  my character suddenly becomes suspended by chains from the ceiling and the quest cannot progress. Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone have a solution for this ?

Hi . so I have this weird issue with this mod . I am at the Elisif quest at the point where she asks me to put the items on the table . But instead of doing that,  my character suddenly becomes suspended by chains from the ceiling and the quest cannot progress. Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone have a solution for this ? 

 

Another mod is kicking in instead once your controls are disabled, not sure what though.

Hi  thanks for your response. I moved the  captured dreams.esp further up as possible on the load order. It stoped doing what I described but now when the controls are disabled my character just stands there doing nothing and unable to move .she never puts the items on the table and the controls are never enabled again .

Hi  thanks for your response. I moved the  captured dreams.esp further up as possible on the load order. Something is likely still interfering. Someone else had a similar issue recently with Get Stripped as one of its scenes had not finished playing out, sounds like what is happening now.

The previous pic reminded me of something: the CD Cellar is very dark when I use RLO + Seasons of Skyrim ENB (I need to use a torch to properly see). Do you plan to increase the lighting Veladarius, or is it supposed to stay that way?
