The only thing that can cause that message from sexout and from spunk is you not having actually installed the new version. That version number comes from a hardcoded script in the ESM itself that is updated with each beta, and with each release, so the only thing required for it to work is that the ESM is installed to the right place.

That said, the latest beta is being promoted to a release right now and this thread will be updated in a moment. 2.9.91 will then be the latest release, and no beta version will be available for a while.

- New sexual orientation system, slider values from -1 (homo) to +1 (hetro) in steps of 0.1.

- Blanked some scripts that are unused

- Removed non-working old npc-reset key hook

- SetFlag and GetFlag new param (temp flag)

- Rotation support for refSurface

- Added rotation fixes for three ZAZ cross animations (1004-1006)

- Additional debug mode logging in CSE and SAN

- Undress token replaced with undress spell

- Clear temp flags at end of act.

- Variable04 stuff gone.

- Raper stuff moved away from tokens, now available via 'call fnSexoutGetFlag <ref> "Raped" 1' (or "Raping") during the act.

- Fixed a case where unlock would not happen if SAN/CSE returned an error.

If you have been caught out by the red bug and the involved actors are still locked by sexout, you have two options.

First, you can make a clean save without sexout or any sexout mods, and then load it again. This is the simplest solution, guaranteed to work.

Second, if you need/want to try preserving your progress in sexout mods, you can attempt to manually unlock the actors. You can do this by opening the console and clicking on them, and for each one, enter this in the console:

NX_SetEVFl "Sexout:Flags:InUse" 0

btw, maybe add in the first troubleshooting option that NVSE extender needs to be uninstalled for the clean save as well?

Hmm? You don't need to uninstall NX. If you load a game without sexout.esm and save it, all the sexout NX vars are cleared.

Sorry to be a smart ass, but that is not my experience. The times I had Sexout lock up, it didn't start working again until after I uninstalled then reinstalled NVSE Extender (see for example my post yesterday in Sexout Spunk)

You're right (sort of), sorry.

You don't have to un/reinstall NX, you just need to delete the NX save file (the csv) corresponding to the save you want to clean. Those saves are stored in "Data/nvse/plugins/Extender/Saves/".

The problem is that the NX lock variables are stored on the player, and variables stored on the player are not cleared by NX during a clean save procedure unless they point to invalid forms. Unfortunately there's no way for NX to know that those vars "belong" to sexout and clear them (yet), and no way for the sexout ESM to know that it's getting "stale" data from NX.

Fortunately I *think* there's a pretty easy way to fix this that I can use in the next beta. If I change the inuse flag from an integer to a form within the sexout ESM, then a normal clean save procedure will cause NX to clear it since the form will be invalid.

I never knew you could delete the NX save file. I generally keep my last 100 saves, just in case. But then again, if you have to uninstall all the sexout related mods to make a clean save to clear the lock, uninstalling NX as well is a very small extra step. So small in fact that I generally forgot that part. However, I am glad I was able to help you make Sexout even better.

I *really* do not want people having to clean-save sexout since it can potentially ruin their progress in all the sexout mods. Having to remove NX just makes it that much worse.

New beta coming in just a minute or two. Doesn't have this change in it, but almost as good.

The new beta is up. Anyone who has a save where the player or other actors are locked by sexout and don't seem to be unlocking is strongly encouraged to try it before resorting to a clean save. It should be able to clear just about any invalid locks though it takes a short period of time -- about 5 seconds from the time the act is attempted is allowed for the stubborn locks to clear themselves before it's done by force.

I believe the members here are using it with TTW. However many of the mods that use Sexout as  master need to be TTW I believe. Not sure on that though.

Not sure what you mean RC. It works fine with TTW. There's a mod made specifically for it and TTW, and all the FONV stuff still works. I don't believe the sexout scanner has any problem with TTW NPCs either so the scan-driven stuff like assault should work fine as well.

I will re-explain.

I was stating that this mod works fine with TTW as I know other have used it. I wasn't sure about the other Sexout mods as I thought some if not all would need to be re-worked to be compatible with TTW. So where this would work "out of the box" other mods referencing this mod might not and should be checked up with those authors/ threads/ OP to be sure.

 

It sounds so much clearer the second time :D (at least in my head it does :unsure: )

It's FO3 mods that need rewritten for it -- those won't work out of the box despite the FO3 ESMs being there.

Thanks for the clarification. I had it backwards.. lol. It can be stated now that I have been edumacated. :D

Yes.

TTW is a mod like any other. It's large and complex but at the end of the day, it's "just a mod". You don't install it any differently (once you've run its installers to make the fomods) nor do you install anything else differently.

my character is normal size and all other animations work fine this problem happens only with all the Bighorner
