Going resinstall skyrim and need help

going reinstall whole skyrim so losing my saves(i dnt mind with that),presets, etc, and switch from unpb to cbbe again (going use bodyslide2 that kinda rocks), and got out of nexus modmanager and going try ModOrganizer (MO ... i guess lol), so need advices in what works and what dnt works with MO, and some tricks if exist also, if ppl can help with things like fnis, sexlab, etc (i read somewhere fnis need a trick to use) and also HDT, ill be glad, atm doing backup f my old skyrim (72gb) if things goes bad i can back, but will be a great mess..., and also how use MO for ea body set like chsbsc (idk if wrote right),cbbe, unpb, etc, got plans of use that like various stances (idk if can call that), going give a example: option 1 its unpb with respective armors, option 2 cbbe with armors, 3 chsbsc, 4 adec, etc.

*Edited: Need know too if its best install anything manual or if MO can handle like (Fnis, SkyUI, skeleton xp32,etc)

hopefully you didnt do that yet, i mean, what do you mean with losing your saves???? ... jeez dude, go find your save-files, usually under --> Documents/My Games/Skyrim ... copy them somewhere else, like ... whatever, and when youre done, just copy them back for fucks sake! seriously, no one needs to waste savefiles when reinstalling skyrim!!!

maybe some stuff gets messed up when you change your mods, i dont know, but at least some of them should stay useful (cant say for sure because i dont use body-mods)... well, try!

good luck ;)

Its k, not a big waste at all, and saves saying *missing mods X-Y-Z* and will get alot errors with that and stuffed save files later on, so better redo saves.

i was using HDT at my previous saves, now ill not anymore till get a final release or one dnt need replace for a long time, because when you remove that, its start the pain of saves CTD.

saves saying mods missing? ... i only use gear mods, you know, more swords, armors, shouts, new lands n stuff. if i would throw them all away (uninstall) them, and load an old save, id get a message like "some stuff is missing, do you want to load anyway?" ... if you load them, usually your saves should get cleaned. so if you got this new sword in a chest, its simply not there anymore. if then you save again, tadaaaa! .... you have a clean save. my char had like 700, maybe 800 hours of game time, no friggin way im ever gonna delete my saves :D

I have more or less had the same Idea as you.

However I first switched to MO. Figured my default folder was full of **** after importing mods to MO. Plus I don't like the idea of having **** left and right - I prefer it all together in a neat pile lol.

And It's a lot better all with MO. Because MO ROCKS.

You could however uninstall every NMM mod and then clean out the Skyrim default directory manually and keep same install -  That is at least what people have told me to do, but I find so many scripts etc I don't know what is what and I feel like a clean install of Skyrim would be faster.

Anyhow, as for procedure what I am doing is:

- I've already reinstalled most of the mods I want to keep into MO (MO has it's own directory for mods, it doesn't touch Skyrim - therefore you can't uninstall them when you uninstall Skyrim).

- I've been cleaning the skyrim folder noticing mods I want to reinstall with MO later and keeping notes of them.

- Now I'm going to reinstall Skyrim followed by all noted mods with MO.

Hope it helps.

thanks, yea i done a "reinstall"  again of skyrim after a mod messed my skyrim again, and that after installed MO, i just deactived all mods, and removed / deleted all just let skyrim, and modded again and voilá works, thats nice dnt need reinstall whole game again, but some mods need install with caution at MO i guess, at least some just messed the game, about the tabs, yea i got lost like hell at that, just now i realize if need put something like a custom made texture (just the dds) need go at MO folder inside skyrim and replace that with the body textures you got by default or create the whole folders paths , put the textures there and zip, works also, idk if that is the right way , but just know that, that why made that topic for people like me can put the doubts and advanced users can explain the right way.

To fix saves - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/?

To remove most of enb - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7804/?

I use succubus race lite but not better vamps yet looks to huge and it scares me just as much as skyre. o.o

lol

Lighting and weather - Realistic lighting overhaul, Climates of Tamriel.

Enb recommendation - (RealVisions ENB series folder) with Opethfeldt ENB.

Enb palet only - The Wilds ENB (FANTASTIC Sky AT NIGHT!!! With Climates of tamriel darker nights 7)

Realistic Blurry view - Lens Textures for ENB with static Dynavision.

Settings - Prefs ugrids. -very good!!! I roll with 255 mods with these preffs and my skyrim folder is 65 gigs XD

Its easier to back track mod by mod or upgrade them or drop file in data then undo move to remove than reinstall btw.

then run FNIS after EVERY THING!!!! lol I don't bother sifting through animations unless FNIS says out right its a prob.. i just reinstall the whole animation/SEQ/Behavior folder etc.

Immersive first person is fantastic on here btw if you want that extra punch.

Not sure if that helps, but hope it does.

http://www.tesgeneral.com/ has a lot of good information.

I had a similar thread as you, a few months back. I followed the instructions from tesgeneral.com.

As for FNIS, (make sure your microsoft framework 4/4.5 works nad u have skse), Install Fnis like a normal mod with mod manager.

The mod author that built this mod made it with a fo-mod that doesn't require any nexus assets. Which means that not only does it work but you don't need any tricks to get it work properly. That is one of my favorite mods when playing a vamp character. You just install it the same way with MO as you would any other mod, the fo-mod menu will pop-up where you can select which parts of the mod you want to run (same as it did in NMM), once you choose what you want from the menu and close it the mod will install. Make sure it is activated in the MO menu and then your set. If you have never used better vamps before it might take a few minutes for the MCM menu to appear, just be patient.
