Game controllers?

Does anyone else here use a game controller besides me, or is everyone a die-hard mouse and keyboard sort of player?

I've been using a controller for over 30 years and haven't gotten much into PC gaming until fairly recently. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks I guess. Or is that just because the old dog doesn't care to learn new tricks? :D

I have gotten my Logitech controller to function quite well with Oblivion, though. Almost the same as it was on the XBox360. It's much easier to do this in Fallout or Skyrim (they're already Xinput so all I need is a 360 controller emulator like x360ce, for example). Oblivion, on the other hand, is only dinput so it makes it a bit tougher.

I have found out that using the Logitech Profiler software that came with my controller lets me do something I didn't think possible, and that's get an analog walk/run on the left stick. But in the profiler settings there's a "zone assignment" option that automatically makes the left stick X and Y axes function properly, although I did have to set up a small dead zone in the center (and the software allows for that, too).

So I am VERY happy so far. The only difference between using this controller and playing on XBox is I have to use the right stick to guide an arrow in the menus, but that's it.

I use a G110 gaming keyboard and mouse the keyboard has a ton of extra keys that can be used if you set them up and the mouse can have weights added to it so that it matches how you want the mouse to move and feel.

i grew up playing consoles, so keyboard and mouse is relative new to me, but i think they're much better for most of the games i like at least

i tried using an old xbox controller and i didn't liked for Skyrim, it felt so strange, but for Dark Souls wich for me at least is physically impossible to play with mouse and keyboard it's perfect

also platform and driving games sucks without a controller

Skyrim on PC plays just the same with a controller as it does on the 360. I know, I've put in thousands of hours on both! LMAO!

Come to think of it, by now Bethesda owes me a few thousands hours that I can never get back. :D

I have a hard time playing with keyboard + mouse, so I use a controller. Of course, it gets a little annoying because SkyUI wasn't designed for controllers, and, whenever i try to equip an item, the menu feels compelled to re-sort itself since it thinks I tried to change the sorting category.
