The Infamous "Can't Equip Enchanted Item Right Now" Bug

Yep. It happened. And I don't know how to get rid of it. But I do know what mod spawned the item that caused it: Player Slave Encounters.

 

Yep, now the Slave gag won't equip on my character and if I get into my inventory to try and equip it I get the message. I checked my status effects and I do indeed have permanent water breathing as well as 200% shield, slave or not. Strangely enough, however, I don't have the silence effect as permanent. 

 

 

Also, another thing, which might be caused by the same bug. After getting the skeleton key, even when I don't have it in my inventory, I can still use it. As in, in the lockpicking minigame, I can see the skeleton key and auto attempt as much as I want. 

 

If anyone has any insight into how I can resolve these issues then I would greatly appreciate it!

Hmm, no response? Ah well.

 

I've fixed the PSE bug, at the expense of having to reinstall it, losing all progress, but that's fine.

 

However, my issue with the skeleton key persists. Does anyone have a solution?

i have no solutions  !     and  for once it is a good bug !   no need to look anymore for lockpics !

Yes, it is quite useful, but it does wander a lot into the cheating side, which can make the game boring after a while.

Hey! I fixed it! What I did was spawn a second skeleton key, dropped it, and now I don't have the skeleton key in the minigame unless it's in my inventory. 

 

Problem resolved I guess!
