Just curious Fizz, will you be uploading your other Skyrim mods at your old blog as well? I took a look at the Nexus and did a search for your other files...all I found was a "file you requested was not in our database" message.

Seriously? Nexus is banning modders with works like this? Leaving all the crap on their page but removing masterpices? And what in the name of the seven hells has this armor in common with the DoA armor except maybe the shape of the top? oO

My theory is that actions like this is why the Nexus is now "unlocked"; they're driving away so many talented Skyrim/FO modders--and the gamers that follow--that they have to try to expand their audience with other games to offset the losses.

 

If/when you update Blacktalon, can you sort out the version confusion? The .7z file on Google drive is named "V1", the .esp and .bsa inside it are named "V11", and the .txt file inside it says it's V2. The version that was on Nexus was 1.2.

There was a post a few weeks back in the Outfit Studio threads as this has been requested. However, apparently several made the attempt and failed. The armor does not play well with OS and does not currently seem possible to have converted. I was keeping a close eye on it and it seems to have fallen off the drawing board unfortunately. 

 

Someone talented enough could get behind it and recreate it for CBBE. Perhaps in the future we will see that. I was highly disappointing to find this was without a CBBE conversion.

If you were banned from the nexus, you can submit a formal ban appeal. If you provide evidence and kiss their asses profusely, they might lift the ban on you; though whether or not that's worth it is up to you.

 

However, if I had a serious beef with a specific admin and/or their actions and I had absolute proof that the decision was in error (which I believe you do), I would speak privately to the site owner himself. He seems to be rather open to communication with the community, and as long as you're courteous and don't insult the VD directly or try to publicly shame him, the owner might do something to lift the ban. Even if he doesn't do anything, if you can show that VD banned a calm, creative and positive addition to the community, then that is a definite black mark against that admin in the eyes of the site owner.

 

While my faith in the Nexus and Vampire Dante has greatly waned of late, I still believe that the site owner wants the best for the community, and a clearly erroneous ban undermines that goal. A, "Ban first, ask questions later," attitude may work for some sites, but not when it comes to people's mods into which they put a great deal of time, effort and passion.

Weird, I didn't see it...comment 94 doesn't have any links in it, just some quotes. I have the release of it, but I don't remember where I got it (and I'm not sure if I can just post it here).

Fizz, thank you for the link, this armor looks amazing! Just out of curiosity, even though its your own work, why would they care if a mesh comes from another game??? It's not like you're trying to sell it, its all personal use stuff. I don't get it.

Hi- I have the Blacktalon Armor UNP, but I am trying to get a version with BBP- either a UNPB-BBP (preferred) or 7B Bombshell BBP (settle-for) conversion would work for me.

 

There is no Blacktalon armor at the link provided above, and there is no #94 either- the highest number there is #82. Using page search and topic search in that forum results in zero hits for "Blacktalon" and only one hit for "Black" pointing to a different outfit.

 

Also, there are some comments in this topic which imply that nobody has yet succeeded in doing a BBP conversion, despite the quoted post above indicating that someone succeeded and the conversion is (was?) available.

 

Can someone please wave The Stick of Truth    at this subject and point me to a BBP version of Blacktalon Armor, or at least confirm that the quoted post above was mistaken and no such conversion actually exists?
