Oblivion in motion ( video thread )

Made a thread like this for Skyrim,  but still love me some good old Oblivion...

 

I've seen tons of great music/dance videos, tutorial videos,  but a lot of times there are tons of them that are overlooked.  So if you come across a Oblivion video on Dailymotion,  Youtube or wherever and then post that sucker.  If you have a question about how to install something or need help and know of a video that will do the trick then post that sucker too.  Maybe you just want to show off one of your mods or something you're working on?  Sounds good.

 

Just a warning though in case it has activities of the sexual kind please spoiler that bad boy and warn us lol.

I thought I'd reinstall Oblivion for the first time in about four years, since I did the same recently with New Vegas and I've been having a blast with all the new mods. I used that "Oblivion 2014 Graphics Tutorial" to get me started, and I have to say it's caused me hours and hours headaches since it's, surprisingly, already out-of-date.

 

I think I've got it more or less resolved, with the only remaining problem being that I'm only getting 20fps, in comparison to Skyrim's 80ish (also with ENB)... Anyway, in the hope that I can save others from the same level of headbangery,  what I've learned thusfar:

 

1) The newest version of NMM can no longer install the Qarl's TP3 omod files properly. So instead of downloading 11 files and manually installing each one like in the video, you should just get "Qarl's TP3 for NMM" and activate it in NMM.

 

2) ENB v0.181 doesn't play well with MSI Afterburner for nVidia cards. The most common advice, to disable Afterburner, didn't work for me and the game would still crash after the Bethesda logo... What did work was using the Injector version instead of the Wrapper version like the video describes. That will even run happily alongside Afterburner (although I haven't tried the video recording function yet).

 

3) This wasn't mentioned in the video because he used the Wrapper, but for the Injector to actually work you need to make an edit to the 'enbinjector.ini' file once you've installed it so it reads as follows:

4) Darnified UI is a gigantic pain in the ass, and I still can't get it working. That wasn't in the video. But it needed to be said.

lol  I know this is kinda dumb,  but I just recently learned how to do the camera rotation in the game XP   All these years wondering hahaha

Those dance animation looks like MOCAP to me. I really believe now with an excellent rig combined with shapekeys, you should be able to fully replicate this type of animation manually.

 

That will be so much more rewarding then magically allow a computer to do man's job.  MOCAP in my point of view is just lazy animators way out of the doing the hard-labor from hand.
