Yes, this is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine.

Why every sex-related product thinks that the male head is attached to the side of their torso, I have no idea.

 

As for being better than SL, it will have to pass quite a few tests, in regards to all that it can offer, in terms of just how much user creativity it welcomes, be it custom content or supporting less "popular" fetishes, or doing things outside of the standard "looking for sex" scenario.

 

I also guarantee you, that just like SL, a great amount of it's population will be filled by people who want to hope onto poses and go "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm." That's to be expected. I just find myself wondering if it will be set up to provide any sort of refuge for those looking for an experience that stimulates a few more brain cells.

I'm not saying the walking animations are bad, I'm saying that the walking animations, for both male and female, have a very specific tone/personality to them, and if you are attempting to portray anything outside of a "oh baby" personality that appears to strut everywhere, unless you can change your walking animation, you're out of luck.

(again, at least from what I've seen in the video)

Is RLC still RLC? Last time I was there it was Red Light Center or Utherverse or Virtual Vancouver or goodness knows what else. That was a while ago, though. I joined before they offered skirts, left shortly after they redid the graphics and looked in once since to see that you now have to pay a monthly fee to be a full member to gain access to the clothing design software. It looks like they've upgraded it quite a bit since I was there. Skirts now go all the way to floor-length and there may even be custom meshes. Still, "now there's a charge for what I used to give for free," and it's all a bit of a mess of conversion rates and marketing and hoping enough people pay virtual money to use your designs for you to get enough real money on the exchange to make back what you paid for the membership that allowed you to do the design work, so I haven't bothered. You may still see some of my designs if you care to visit. They used to be quite popular.

 

I wonder whether they fixed the stop-on-orgasm thing in the sex animations. I know most men have to but most women can carry right on ... although it does make the clitoris far too sensitive. I doubt its a straight up scam as one user mentioned eariler they also did that free Juliette sex demo game. And that has great animations and models and is realtime but with little cohesive substance to it like this game. Didn't look too bad on the stills, the vid proved that the clipping is even worse than second life though. One of the major flaws with sl however is not the fact that the animations are clunky, its that the rp consists of people making stuff up along the way. Its like being stuck in a movie without a plot and no director to make things coherrent/exciting/belivable. Combined that with an enviroment that is driven by a company that care about nothing other than making as much money with as little effort as possible, forcing the "land owners" (people who rent viritual space) to be driven primairily by the motivation to cover their losses.

 

I wish those good rp candidates that exist in mmorpg would write adult story modules for single player games instead. Problem is it takes a lot of effort and require more skills than being a good writer (programming, pacing, effects implementation ect). I guess lots of talent will be wasted untill we see a platform that will make storybuilding effortless or allows you to connect with other module developers easier. I figure many module writers tend to get bored/stuck halfway through (like me) and simply abandon their projects.

I am trying now and I like it.  Its stil early on and they are adding content almost daily. 

 

As the number of animations grows so does the immersion, especially with the real time chatting with real people making it so its not a free-for-all but you have to actually have some level of game.  There are of course people who just run around looking for sex with anyone.

 

I have gotten so I meet many of the same people every night.  I have had one-on-ones and group "parties," that have been a lot of fun.

 

It is lacking in group sex animations but they are coming. 

 

The comment above that stated that for $20.00 / mo you could have the real thing.  I am not so sure unless you are hiring the cheapest prostitute ever or using rufi's.  It is far from just a porn game.  People are actually hanging out, getting to know each other, and also having sex.

 

I will keep playing it and will come back to review it again with more play time.

Tried it for 3 months.

 

Was fun at the beginning. Then they fired all the moderators, which were some of the earliest players...which then left. There is almost no RP, few animations (compared with almost unlimited with 3d sex villa), few clothing and customization options. And no, they don't have almost daily updates: look at their update page...more like 2-3 in a row over a week and then nothing for a month or two.

 

On the other hand, the graphics are the best out there (Skyrim mods not included). The community is fairly small if you stick with your hours (a bunch of Europeans during the day and in the evening a bunch of Americans: talking EST).

 

I ultimately got bored and decided my money was better spent IRL.
