OK OK i know it sounds cheesy but i am beside myself with all the talent here.....

but with all this Said can i be granted one request?

I very much would like a companion to be Generated ... I don't have the skills to make one nor the ability to delve that much attention into Oblivion archives to master it as easily as you all have done so

this companion I feel would make a great addition and i think could be a real addition to the game if given the same Quirky attitude ...lol if nothing else the same Voice

WHOA! A fellow Elvira lover? You do mean the 'Mistress of the Dark', don't you?

I've been adoring her (and Cassandra Peterson as well, the actress behind the character) for many years.

Have you seen the protagonist of my comics yet (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2251), a bratty lass with a very special attitude and a totally like valley-girl-sounding way of speaking? She is quite influenced by Elvira even though she is a completely different type of character. But her quirkyness and fondness for funny phrases certainly comes from my admiration of Elvira.

This girl, a companion thanks to the work of my friend kimict, has kept me thinking about making her a kind of 'mini-Vilja', maybe not voice-acted but with an extensive set of unique dialogue in her typical style, with lots of her trademark perky puns and sassy sayings, ironically commenting on every aspect of the game - be it combat, Oblivion lore or particular NPCs.

Your request renews my interest in this project. What does everybody think about it?

In case you consider Kitty not suitable, not being 'creepy' or 'kooky' like Elvira - there is always the possibility to create a new character that looks more the part, with the wonderfully cheesy 'Gothic Horror' schtick she so perfectly portrays...

A nice base for such a new character would be my girl 'Natalya the Nutcase':

heck after giving your post some thought i had an epiphany ..what if she had a Sister ? Morticia from the Adams family heck even Lurch would be a great addition.... ooh can you imagine the possibilities ? but yes please on an original as close to resemblance to the original Queen of the Dark, as it just wouldn't be the same being re-skinned as someone else

The main problem I see with recreating the original Elvira is this:

She is a copyrighted character, using her exact likeness in combination with original voice samples/clips I guess would enter the slippery terrain of copyright infringement. I don't know the legal situation if there is no money made with a homebrew modification for a game, but the use of trademarked audio material I imagine problematic to say the least...

Apart from the other obvious problem - the characteristic hairdo!

Since I'm no modder capable of creating meshes, I can't help you there.

The face texture with the subtle make-up however I imagine rather easy to do.

At least your request reminded me of my old project to upgrade the dialogues of my girl to something unique. Sorry I didn't get you wanted an exact recreation of that legendary character, I understood it more as a guideline for the type of companion to create.

well i can understand that point , so why was Conan allowed to be made or Red Sonja, Factor X or Final Fantasy , wonder woman, GenX , and then we have Firefox allowing her to be used as a Webpage back ground ...i'm not argueing here, i just think it would be silly to assume there is a Trade mark infringement on a website uploading and or downloading a free mod...
