Video card troubles

I'm actually having a similar prob with my 560 ti. Most times it looks like a corruption so a texture will look like it's exploding out all over the screen. Usually quitting to menu and reloading fixes it, but it tends to come back. Sometimes I have to quit to desktop, and that fixes it for longer, but again, it tends to creep back. CTD's for me do happen, but are thankfully rare. Also, very rarely, the game will stutter, go black like it's about to CTD, then recover and things are fine.

I rolled back and tested various drivers (thankfully I'm not overclocked) and even tried running vanilla with no mods, but it didn't help at all. Did some research and found out a lot of what's been going on can be attributed to overheating, which is weird because my GPU gets decent airflow and I clean my internal regularly.

Also worth mentioning that this occasionally happens with other games (but Skyrim seems to be the worst offender). Any thoughts?

Sometimes it has a lot to do with anti-aliasing with certain games.  Skyrim for example a few months ago was stuttering like you described.  After turning off anti-aliasing it played beautifully so it could be as simple as that.  Don't take my word for it though; try it and if the problem persists that MIGHT be a graphics card problem.

I get something very similar to that. If this is the same issue then it may not just be the 4xx/5xx cards. I am using GTX 660s.
