but just as I've said I could use some help with the texture.

I still working on the tail animation and that really kills time. :dodgy:

Yeah, I'd wager it does.

Even if it should be less complex than the khajiit. Dogs only kinda wag. Then again, there's different dog types. A wolf or wolf-like dogs would have that curled up tail that would just move back and forth. Others just shake, and some lift and swing. XD

I finally got my headmwsh to work.

I will do some minor tweaks but I really could use someone who's willing to made the textures.

I could do them myself but It will take me forever :s

I don't suppose someone knows if there's a newer, Syrim supporting version of Blender yet, huh? I would totally love to be able to start working on some new races if I could only make some new head models. I've seen others make custom head models for Skyrim, but they're all just tweaks of the female head.

You mean something like this? This is a few months old though so it might be outdated, Google isn't giving me very good results.

(Fan of your old Fallout races btw, excited to hear you interested in Skyrim too!)

I found out that the .nif plugin for 3ds max has Skyrim support, but I don't know if you have 3ds max or not.

Also going a bit off topic but referring to what you said in this thread about two months back, you mentioned that the New Vegas version of your Anthro Races mod was almost finished? If so is there any chance that there'll be a release? I know that me and alot of other people have been waiting for two or three years now..

Blender was almost completely rewritten, the old plugins don't work with the newer versions, also officially it never supported any game outside it's own game engine. To my best knowledge, the good folks at NifTools are still working on the Blender 2.6 port, Skyrim support can be expected after that. Maybe files exported in Fallout3 or NV format can be used in Skyrim after modifying with NifScope, but I'm not sure. There will be no Skyrim support for older versions of Blender.

is it possible to take the kaw disguise kit that gives u a craftable tail and ears and make the tail a fox tail? would anyone else be interested in it?

is it possible to use the worgan from wow as an aide?

Well an idea could be to just rip the model and use it as a race though you might need to smooth out the knees to be more humanlike for the skeleton. I've seen people rig anime heads to use the face animations so I don't see why such a thing wouldn't work for the Worgen face since it wouldn't be much different than the Khajiit face.

Or do you mean like use the style as a base for a mod made from scratch? Either way, I'm pretty interested

I came here out of curiosity, and first off, I have to say:

RocketLombax, your work is quite good! I mean, considering the materials and results, it IS quite good! I specially like the wolf lady, and that's for a guy that's specially into felines! [well, I think all the muscle made me look away from the guys... I'd prefer twinks :P Or maybe it was the big chin.] If you try your hand at skyrim modding, do try to edit the khajiit head instead - it has a more "rounded" cranium if compared to the oblivion counterparts [they're looking amazing even in vanilla, imo!] and since they're mammals anyway, you can probably make nearly any sort of mammal animal head. I'm sure you could make some excelent heads with them as base!

Anyway, the best example of a custom beast race for skyrim right now seems to be the Vaalsark race. Better yet, it accepts some khajiit traits, like the plantigrade beast feet by grimoa.

There is also a mod that aims to make the old digi-legged beast races from morrowind replace the ones in skyrim. Right now, they need someone with good UV mapping knoweledge [yep, working skeleton and bodies, it seem!! I plan to use that to help on the otter-like beast race if possible!]

Last, but not least... If anyone makes a moogle mod, make 'em the ivalice model. Also, in one of the monster hunter mods here in LL, there is a Felyne companion - while they're extracted models from monster hunter and we know they're originally not of the best quality, it's still cute to have a kitten following you around. :B

Hi Everyone,

 

I have been checking this thread and similar ones that I've been able to find. I'm stuck in the middle of an animal race at the moment, its an equine anthro. It works in-game, but I have not entered the world of Trishapes yet to animat the mouth and eyes. Ideally, I'd like to have a basic equine head that can be adapted to things like a unicorn (as I did in the photo).

Has anyone successfully made morphs for an anthro head yet? If so, I'd appreciate any pointers.

 

The other item that would be part of this race mod is an option for digilegs. Thats almost a whole mod in its own right, as it would entail a lot of additional tweaks as a new type of ArmorRace, and it would be best if at least some basic armors were added which fit those kinds of legs.

It's like demons and dragons and magic and tree people and vampires and werewolves and interdimenional travel are ok, but furries somehow wreck it all for them.

It is like a virus that people love getting, because they can then act like the KKK and hate all over "those disgusting furries". Its really quite a disgusting social phenomenon. You should see how bad they get in SecondLife... amazing the amount of discrimination and abuse that comes out of people like that.

 

Anyways, I'm dedicated to making a playable horse anthro, and I'm doing it because the mod love has to come from somewhere <3

Quite often, its the absolute worst behavior that comes out of people on Secondlife.

 

Well thanks.. the head is a start, but not where I'd like it to be - it moves like a head except there are no .tri's for the eye and mouth morphs. Those have to be done from scratch, and I'm studying that now. The current model was primarily just to see if I could get something like this into the world, and see what it looked like. I'm going to redo the whole mesh anyway, so that I can animate the ears with .tri's as well.

 

This thread is a good intro into whats possible with morphs, but from what I've gathered, not many people do this.

I'm just making an update to this post, as I've finally gotten around to doing a 2nd version of this equine anthro mod. The head is working ok, though of course, still haven't tested anything with mouth movement. Usable as an alternate race, but definitely needs another round for detail.

I really likes someone made some new furs races for Skyrim as anthro foxes, skunks, bear (a rabbit race and the Vaalsark ones I already found it) with possibility to use them as players/npc's as well and a better remade for the Vaalsark race as the creator seeems kinda slowly to develop out a update. And someone can tell me if there's a mod with renamon shapes to add as well?

Its kinda sad to see this thread die, I really hope someone picks up the torch and can continue working on anthro races. In my opinion this is an area skyrim is really laking in right now and now im even cosidering getting into moddeling on the basis that i can't seem to find many that really suit my liking. I know this isnt the right thread but if anyone can mabey point me to some programs or tools so I might learn lol :P.


 


Anyhow i really look forward to the future of skyrim modding and hope it far surpass any other, including in this field.
