Ouch. This is probably why I have a backup graphics card or integrated graphics should something like this happen...

I suggest removing the card (if you can) to make sure your computer is not further damaged. It would be bad to have graphics melt on to your cpu lol

Blah I know how you feel my old graphic card (GF8800GT) graphic accelerator when down right before Christmas...

Cooking/Baking/Heating Graphic card is not good idea It can bring it back to life but it can work month, week or few days. and there is risk of damaging motherboard

That sucks for sure... but just for comparison the compressor on my house's AC died last Wednesday. So it was customize a cheap compressor or get a new unit. Went with then new unit but then had to suffer through a rather hot weekend (I live in Arizona and the temp was reaching 100 degrees on the hot days) and only just got it replaced yesterday. It cost a lot more then a video card.

So it could be worse (it always can) ;)

that why i called it a hail mary ;) - should only be done if whatever you're left with is basically junk without it, so if the motherboard gets fried in process you're no worse off.
