Weird/odd bugs from possible mod conflicts (Oblivion)

Needing the help of a expert modders. I'm getting really weird bugs while playing Oblivion and think it might be mod conflicts.

1- While playing Knights of the Nine during Pilgrimage quest after visiting the 9 shrines I get the update that I should wait for a vision from the gods but nothing ever happens and I have to use the console comand to for the update to get the vision.

2- During the Fury of Nature quest for the Boots of the Crusader when I get to the grove the bear keeps getting stuck in the rock and again have to use the console command to advance the quest.

3- For some very weird reson the Palace Guards from the Imperial City are showing up in houses in other cities or even in some of my mods.

4- For the mod Brutal Underground, after Mad marvin visits me and tells me about the Bruma arena, when I get there theres a ghost of Darius sitting on the one bench. During some fights he will warp into the arena and fight my target. sometimes he'll even attack me. Some of the other fighters in the Bruma arena early in the fights will sometimes make it into the arena and fight/kill my target as well.

I've tried not to use mods that conflict with eachother but once you reach a certain number of mods thats a bit hard to avoid.

I'm no expert modder, but at a glance I have a funny feeling about those DLC's hanging out at the bottom of your list. Shouldn't those be way higher up in load order? Is BOSS failing to recognize them?

EDIT:

Ok. I see that those are unofficial patches, try moving each one of them up to right underneath their corresponding DLC's. If that doesn't fix your problems I'd recommend maybe reinstalling a brand new copy of BOSS. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it should know what those are and be able to place them correctly.

Your load order is atrocious.

1. Go get BOSS and run it. Link: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516

I have never seen boss put unoffical patches at the end of a load order is why I am saying this. They as well as the official dlc should be pretty high up in the load order.

2. Then go here Link: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2810

and under the technical assistance spoiler and then the load order spoiler hand order your lovers files to match.

These above two files need to be the absolute last in the load order or lovers will not work correctly.

The above should fix your issues with quest lines.

Note: LoversSlaveTrader.esp and LoversSTVictims.esp I believe require MBP unless you have the no MBP patches so you likely are going to be missing meshes and textures when you try to do those quest lines.

I do have BOSS already. I just forgot to run it before I posted the loadorder. I always run it every single time I add a new mod. Never heard of a no MBP patch. I don't use it cause that is way too much work just make the NPC's look better. Checked the threads for the 2 mods and didn't see anything about needing MBP or a no MBP patch.

I did look at the Lovers loadorder and think i have everything in the proper order. Only problem I've ever had and still do with any of the Lovers mods I have installed, is on the bitch training mission from LoversBitch, Maerra or whatever her name is. Ater she gets back to the house and i start the training mission. I go through the dialogue and get on all fours. I go over to the dog and it won't ever mount me. Console command just says gShep not ready. I even installed Wyre Bash and ollowed the list in the thread. atleast according to it I'm not missing any files. One problem I have no idea how to fix or how it even got there. The Anvil chapel can't be entered. the doors got changed somehow and can't enter the chapel no matter what. Guessing I might need to do a clean install of Oblivion.

Before going to that extreme try starting new game and seeing if you can get into the anvil chapel. It could be some mod in your load order has put it off limits either on purpose or a dirty edit or it may just be a save game that is getting corrupted.

Tough to say with a bunch of mods. I run at least as many as you but that has taken me years to get them "just right" and I am extremely careful about what mods I introduce. I do make a backup of course prior to adding new stuff and using wrye bash (with its bashed patch) has been extremely helpful!

Myself I never could get cobl to work. It seemed to jack with my inventory and cause all sorts of strange crap to happen. I have tried on several occasions as it has some nice features but ultimately it just wasn't worth the headache for me. Others seem to have no problems so perhaps it was just the combo of mods I was running. Not pointing a finger at it but take a look at every mod you have and class them as "must haves" or "play once" or "junk'um" or somewhere in between and act accordingly. It will help you get to stable working game.

I went ahead and just did a clean install since I had alot of loose folders/files rom mods I removed. Now I'm getting a new problem. Started a new game and once I get past the part where the emporer dies and Baurus gives me the key to the sewers and I make my class, trying to enter the sewers crashes Oblivion.

I am using OBMM,BOSS and Wyre Bash though I haven't made an actual bashed patch since Wyre Bash can let me know if I missed a file while installing another mod. According to Wyre Bash I'm not missing any mods. Though when I do use BOSS it reports alot of my mods could be Wyre Bashed and that I need to use TES4edit toclean up the dirty files. I don't think I could use TES4edit without breaking all the mods.

My new loadorder and yes I used BOSS before I copied the list over.

Well I am not sure why you aren't using a bashed patch as it does help with stability by blending mods together to eliminate conflicts which is what BOSS is trying to tell you. Anyway I would not use tes4edit to clean any mod unless you know exactly what you are cleaning and why. As you stated you are likely to break a script if you aren't carefull.

Make sure you have all of the latest UOP patches and be very careful using Punk Stevo - Brutal Underground.esp as I have used it and found it can cause save game corruption. My advice is play it through and uninstall it.

If all else fails and you can't get things stable it may be time to disable all but the dlc and uop and then slowly add back a couple mods at a time to see what is breaking things. Remember to make clean saves.

Sorry about the spoiler thing. I turned off every single mod excpet the DLC and the 2 expansions. Oblivion still crashes when I try to enter the sewers anyway.

Is that with a new game? Try using the dlc/shivering isles and UOP and see what you get starting a new game.

Also, while you're at it. Grab your 'Saves' folder from 'My Documents\My Games\Oblivion' and move it somewhere else temporarily just to make sure that crash isn't happening because of a corrupt savegame.

Kk. Turned off every single mod including the expansions and all the DLC and just left Oblivion and the unofficial patch mod on. Started a new game with just those 2 running and made it out of the sewer without a crash. Funny thing is once I got out of the sewer and turned my mods back, my Destruction skill started leveling up every 4-6 seconds til it reached 100 even though I'm running Oblivion XP and that only lets skills reach 99.

If it isn't that then I would make a save just outside the sewer and then scale back your mods and slowly add them back to see what this is coming from as it could screw things up for you later. Those small issues can add up to a large headache down the road

Really late in a reply but pretty sure Adult Adventure Cyrodiil (http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=31523) was the cause of least the door in the tutorial after Uriel is murdered and you generate your class and possibly the doors to the Anvil chapel. Got rid of the mod cause I couldn't even do some of the quests plus I had downloaded some new race mods and started a new game. No crash at all when I clicked on the sewer grate.
