OBGE liquid water 2.1 RC4 problem

My problme is the unnatural transition from the water body to the bank, as the water should be transparent near the coast.

This doesn't exist in 2.0.

I guess it is something to do with the depth parameters? But I don't know how to fix that.

Any help would be appreciated.
