Hi, I encountered problem with Rubber Doll combined with Safeword. After I got completely encased in doll suit and The Dollmaster advised me to work it out, I started to have frequent crashes on beginning of a sex scene, or even on loading savegame. I decided to safeword (did not get further than 5 successful sex acts, since then it began crashing every time). Safewording did well, everything was removed. But the rubber doll quest stays in the journal and no events are triggering even if I bump probabilities high. I keep finding keys though. Relevant part of papyrus log seems to be:

DCL version 4.10, but I had similar trouble with 4.9 (there safeword did not remove the doll suit).

 

What might ot might not be related are misbehaving plugs, but I am not completely sure about this and it migh be bug in DD itself. Plugs can't be removed even after removing chastity belt. First try was with Live Deviant Life starting equipment (v 4.9, DDi 2.9.0). Second was with rubber doll quest described above - I was wearing a belt, then rubber doll quest started and I was not able to get rid of the belt before wearing suit - the suit may block removing plugs intentionaly.

Kimy, if it doesn't bother you I'd like to make a clarification about a previous post of mine.


 


To Sevenbase users:


 


I have updated the meshes that I have uploaded and posted here some days ago. The reason is that, while I had no problems with the Shinny Rubber Catsuits meshes, the Sexy Transparent Zipsuit ones showed with a purple texture in-game. I checked the .nif files of both group of meshes to see which textures they had assigned and all of them were pointing to the original path of their corresponding source mods. That puzzled me because, as I said, I had not any problems with the rubber catsuits. After a while, I decided to check the .esp of DCL and I found the difference between the two: there are texture sets defined for the rubber catsuits (sets override whatever texture is assigned in the .nif file) but not for the zipsuits; not that it is needed, after all there's only one color/texture for the zipsuit right now.


So, briefly, what I did to avoid problems was to replace the path of the textures and point them to the right location inside this mod's folder structure. That also solved a similar problem I had with the world/inventory models.


 


Regarding world models, Kimy, is it intended that the zipsuit uses the world/inventory model of the rubber suit?

I've done everything I can think of but the rubber doll collar is still punishing me for wearing clothes. I've taken everything off except the collar, gone through my inventory in the console (only two items, the collar and the DD device hider), I've dropped all my armor, I've set the device hider to every open slot and a few filled ones, disabled the device hider, and I've even used the console to attempt to get rid of the device hider.

 

No matter what I do the collar thinks my obviously naked dragonborn is wearing clothes. I'm left to believe the collar is recognizing itself or the device hider (no matter where I put it). Anyone have any advice for this? I saw a mention of a similar issue with the cursed collar, but they seem to have just unequipped everything in the console and appear to have had an extra equip from an old device sitting around.

Go to a place where only you are present, open the console and enter:

player.inv

That will give you a list of all the things your PC is carrying, including items that won't show in the normal inventory. Look for items without a name that have the (worn) indication next to them and use "player.removeitem ######" (sans quote marks) to remove them.

 

 

Tried that, problem persists. Only things showing up as worn anyways are the doll collar, the item added by the collar that handles the actual effects, and (for a time) the DDi Device hider (XX040f0c). The device hider continued to reequip itself whenever i removed it, although the collar tended to need to be activated in my inventory to reapply the effects. Still being punished. 

 

Started a new game, no device hider in my inventory (in the LAL cell) not sure why, asked to escape the cell, triggered the rubber collar on the door. Still being punished. Dropped absolutely everything, player.inv shows only two items, the collar and it's script instance. Still being punished. I'm left to believe the rubber doll collar is either recognizing itself as clothing or there is an issue in the code when updating whether or not the player is wearing clothing.

unrelated to your message.  a member has suggested that i share my mod idea with you to see if you could find a way to implement it into your mod.

but... i don't think you would accept it. since it not exactly devious  :P  .   it's in the toy genre or in this case cursed toys like dildo's and strap ons.

 

the models are already there all that's missing is something to support them like a quest or higher purpose.

Hi, sorry if this has been addressed already and I haven't noticed.

 

I'm having a bug that, no matter what settings I use, the cursed loot events don't occur. Even with the probability at 100%.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

I had something like that happen to me. No cursed loot events. Estrus on plants and key finding in plants and chests would work, as would flashbang events. Fresh character, so not a case of a bad safe file.

 

I had to disable cursed loot in MCM -> cursed loot -> debug -> shut down all functions. Then exit the menu, wait 30 seconds, uncheck that to enable it again, 30 seconds waiting outside the menu, *and then* cursed loot events showed as unchecked. After checking it my character is again happily wrapped in bindings when opening things.

 

Weird, but that was my workaround. DCL is now complex enough to warrant that most ancient of tech rituals: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

You don't have a mod installed that adds what it thinks are missing keywords to armor etc do you?

Otherwise you need to make sure the debug messages in the log option is turned on and provide a papyrus log of the issue because at this point it's in Kimy's hands to figure this one out.

hey again. im having an issue where I get the shock boots key and try to use it, but a message says something like the key failed to unlock boots removed from inventory. ive been stuck in these shock boots for awhile lol help. no worries I safeworded out then consoled back the other devices and reequipped.

I foud the final stage ID using sqs command:

Hey guys I've been to fix this awesome mod for a while now and it gotten me really aggravated.

 

 Usually I don't ask for help on forums but this is my last resort.

 

So everything on this mod works as intended except for these two dialogue topics not showing up when now know they are supposed to. These are the dialogues:   "I have been locked in restraints. Can you please help me?" and "Can you unlock me?"

The Bondage Adventure dialogue not showing is a known bug that will be fixed in the next version. :)

i tried it with a bit trial and error and since 200 didn't exist 100 was my next guess.


Events are working again.


 


I'm now getting ctds when sex sence are starting...

I just noticed that the piercings doesn't gray out the MCM escape options. The other devices do and I'm not sure if this is a bug or not?

You have plenty of oversights in that load order. For example:

- You have all Scarcity files dumbed there. You only need the main file + 1 loot file + (optional) 1 store file. Files should load right before or after Live Another Life.

 

- Your Real Shelter files are in incorrect places. Real Shelter.esp should be loaded directly after your Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp RSPatch.esp right after Live Another Life. LOOT does not place them correctly yet and wrong positions will cause instability in your game.

 

- You have plenty of patches that do not work correctly, because you have not made Bashed Patch with Wrye Bash, or merged them with TES5Edit. This includes your Scarcity files.

 

Seeing that you have missed that much, you may have missed a lot more. I suggest that you would actually make few more questions in LL forums, or ask about tools, load order and resource priority instructions from Steam forums. You might want to do this even if Kimy can point the direct reason for your problem. Your load order is not currently working as you have intended it to work.

 

Edit: I needed another cup of coffee to see what was written in between. :unsure:

 

Edit 2: "LOOT does not place them correctly yet" <- Good grief. My main reason to appear here with alias is my editor. If she would see what kind of Yoda talk I write before my second cup, I would be forced to inject caffeine drops immediately after waking up.  :D

Back again, my problem seems to be related to the rubber doll suit / quest.


First time i tried the quest i had a stuck item on my pc head interfering with hoods and blindfolds.


For the 2nd time i deleted the ghost item and now blindfolds/hoods are working again, but i ctd when a sex scene triggers. (while wearing the rubber doll suit/boots/hands/hood/collar)


Just tried new game, all working.


Loaded old save, saveword out of suit, all working.

I would like to thanks you for the awesome mod! It definitely makes things a lot more fun (and difficult! Before I adjusted the probabilities, I looted three bodies and found myself all tied up <.<).


 


Everything had been working perfectly the last two days, but today I stumbled on the immortality glitch: I've seen that it didn't happened only to me, so I searched the thread for a solution.


I tried just disabling the option, as I could live without it, but there's a problem: everytime I do that, my character drops dead on the spot, even if at full health. :/


Anyone had the same problem?

Okay Kimy, this is an idea/request that might fit into your great mod.  It might fit also into RND but wow in Cursed Loot in conjunction with a enslavement/captured type mod.  Your mod was fantastic so long ago and just gets better and better right along with the Devious Devices.  Okay, so I play this mod from another of my favortie modders nooblet123 called Gross Obnoxious 3D growing hair.  I think it would be cool in similar fashion to getting skooma as a curse with loot, my beautiful dragonkiller got a hair potion that led her into a quest.  She might then have to find scissors, or go the humiliating alchemist and make a deal to get a cure until the a quest might be done.  Nooblet at least considered scissors for me.


 


I was going to Alduin's wall in my latest game and upon opening the main chest in the entry way got a nice set of cuffs, one of my favorties, and of course plugs, chastity belt, etc.  Nice timing for the mod, but a great adventure.  Her slave from Paradise halls thsi time (latest update) had incredible dialogue and acted like he wasn't going to help but was afraid not to.  She is back on the trail in her third trimester of pregnancy.  Well, too much detail, but how far you great modders have come.

I just wanted to chime in here as well.  I've learned through hard experience that, while LOOT is darned good at getting a load order that will actually get to the menu screen, it's no substitute for a close examination of the actual mods you're using.  LOOT's algorithm (which is basically, whenever there's a conflict between esps the one that makes the fewest changes has the last word) works, but sometimes you really want the mod that makes a ton of changes overriding everything else. Real Shelter's patching is a good example, and lighting mods are another. LOOT has a tool you can use to override that default order, but unless you know what you're looking for you won't know you need to use it.

 

Or you may need some of the changed info from each esp. For example, you might like the combat changes that Animal Tweaks has but also want to use Hentai Creatures. The only way that'll happen correctly is if there's a patch. That's why the Tes5merge patch and the wrye bashed patch exist. But they're not perfect either. Having more than a handful of mods that make big alterations in the game pretty much require hand patching of conflicts between esps. Tes5edit (also known as xEdit) is the swiss army knife for this.

 

The single best place I know of to learn the basics (and more) is by working your way through the STEP project install. I´ve been having the problem donkeywho mentioned with followers remaining hogtied after a scene. I think I narrowed it down to cursed loot by disabling other mods in the mcm, resetting features, reset sexlab, reset zaz and followers remained bound.

I tried the "safeword" debug, that didn't work, tried shutting off cursed loot functions - that didn't work either. Tried resetai etc. to no avail.

In the end re-enabled cursed loot functionality and got my character to stand around naked near the followers to trigger another cursed loot scene - this completed and the followers were then free again. I think, but not 100% sure, that this issue happens if you move your character out of range of the event - perhaps when CL hasn't finished doing its thing by processing any followers involved in the scene.

Anyway, triggering another event next to the affected followers seemed to reset things.

It wrks on my end, i had something of a similiar problem while trying to run a

sl submit devious devices combo mod.

 

 

Triggering another DCUR event did the trick.  As soon as it was over, my follower shed her hogtie ropes, bounced up on her toes, and demanded to know where we were off to next  :shy:

Rats!  This did sort itself out when I tested it then, on a quick test save, but on returning to my ongoing game, having done a few other things en route, when I then rode into Saarthal to rescue her, although she would rise up and run through the DCUR device follower comments and actions, as soon as they/the DCUR event ended, she got straight back into her hogtie, and nothing, including dismissing and re-recruiting, console disable/enable, stopping follower participation in both DCUR and Defeat, save reload and wait 24 hours etc, absolutley nothing would persuade her to get back on her feet.  Maybe she just felt safer. that way... :dodgy:

 

Well, I have retired her from following duties and, using Defeat's catch, tie, and bag routines, which she animated her way through perfectly, then transported her to Winterhold where she now decorates the main street as she hangs under one of the awnings...

 

Seriously, has anyone any idea why an NPC can get so locked into a state that they can't be 'retrieved' at all, be it this mod that is doing it - which seems the most likely cause, although it could be Defeat -  or, maybe, some other?

 

Any help would be very welcome!

Hi There, was just checking out the 4.10 update and the collar for the Rubber Doll Quest is pink, is this meant to be the case? And if so could you release a black or red version in the future,
