If you're a fan of the incredible "Interesting NPC" mod like I am, you'll know that it has an incredibly wide range of custom voiced npc's who have interesting personalities and back stories. I love this mod to death, and it's really the only quest/follower mod you'll ever need in my opinion, but as interesting as the mod is its lacking in one crucial feature in my opinion, the aesthetics Every npc is interesting, but they all just look so bland and vanilla, this may not be a gripe for some, but for me it is, considering how I have my game set up. So this mod will completely overhaul the female face textures/meshes and aim to make them just as interesting as the personality assigned to said female. Each rework has been done to keep the spirit and nature of the original face/texture in the original mod, and isn't just some balls to the walls lemme make everyone a glamor girl overhaul. I tried to stay as true to form as possible The plan is to rework every female (and possibly male) NPC in the mod from followers, to the randoms. Also if I have the desire and the demand is sufficient enough I'll make a separate standalone follower version for each overhauled NPC independent of the main "Interesting NPC" mod.

Stand alone followers are so common and only very few are interesting, Vilja, Sofia, Indigo etc. the rest are a bit of short term eye candy.Doing your mod as an overhaul of the  Interesting NPC is a far better idea, imo.

Actually glad to hear that, Irregardless I was gonna do the Interesting NPC overhaul, but I kept getting requests from my Tumblr to make followers so "They didn't have to download 2GB worth of pretty faces," and honestly I say its worth it. You get the best of both worlds, and looking back on it I seriously doubt I would have the desire to go back and make each NPC a standalone follower, that'd be just as much as the mod itself, I suppose I was pandering just a lil too much to some requests lol

I agree, plenty of mods already to beautify the normal followers and most new followers are already constructed as such

 

Voted for interesting NPCs, as I run it and inconsequential followers (I favour UNP bodytype, but more variation in npc bodytypes is always good).

 

Are all the bodytypes/textures required going to be in the main file? Or do you have a WIP list of required mods for this... I ask as I'm one of those whose mod list is always lacking space for new mods

Btw, how did you manage to edit the NPCs? I've been struggling with changing the face of Rumarin for a year now, never succeeded (Yeah I'm useless with the Creation Kit).

An NPC overhaul of INPC would be awesome!

 

I like some of the characters, but the way they look can be boring. Like Jade who lives in riften. Her back story suggests she'd have a different look about her. Something a bit more exotic or something. No idea why she's even a Nord especially with her accent. She seems like she'd be an Imperial, wood elf,  or red guard. Maybe long hair now that she's a priestess, or maybe she'd keep it short. I dunno. But someone like her seems like they'd have dark hair. Mauybe red hair. I also like how she doesn't want to fight and you basically escort her.

 

 

I've tried many many times to end the NPCs myself, but every single time I try to edit it in the CK, the CK just crashes for me

Very cool mod.  One I have looked for several times and never found.  Love interesting NPCs except they look horible.  One of the best mods ever done, and this fixes is critical weakness.

Just a little excited about it.

 

One request leave the body whatever the default is for an install.  I use CBBE and bodyslide and its a pain to go through and edit all the custom bodies.  Or make Bodyslide definitions for them

I would prefer they continue to use the default body in your game.  Even if you are just talking crap
