Riceball

I need mod recommendations.

Although I make my female character wear these fancy anime clothes and occasionally skimpy ones, I still want to make the gameplay as realistic as possible.

I want the game to be very challenging, realistic and makes me use my mind before I charge in a fight. Since the creation kit is still new, I'm not expecting some big overhaul mods out there. I did search some stuff in the nexus but I have some concerns that makes me rethink if I should download them or not and that is the reason for this thread.

1st problem for me is my pc is slow so I cant handle any mods that adds a lot of NPC and the second is outdated .esp mods. I don't really know if something bad will happen if I use a mod which has an esp that is not made by the creation kit so I try to avoid them.

I'm looking for mods to enhance my game to realistic levels. All of my mods so far are replacers for textures and audio.

Script Dragon based plugins (C++). Even more of these tiny plugins are to be found on the Nexus and the Bethesda Softworks Forums.

Plugins for Script Dragon must be placed at Skyrim main folder and consist of an .asi script and a .ini file, thus they need no .esp file.

Handicap: Script Dragon is as vulnerable to Skyrim updates as the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) and must be updated accordingly.

yes the problems may blow up a lot, as many mods were made before the CK came out, and these may have problems, and some mods were made before patches which made these mods which may kill your game. as in the mods that extended the use of ram, that beth messed up.

It would have been better if CK kit had came out same day as game, and also, patches Had not messed with basic layout of game.

But this is not to be, so you will just have to use caution, back up, and make up mind as to do I really want this mod ?

I have personally avoided all mods but a few body mods myself until I feel that beth is done playing get the pirate, and starts actually improving the game errors for the people that payed good money for the game.

I think beth is figuring out that the longevity of there game really rests in the PC end of things, as sense Microsoft, and Sony told them to take there editor and shove it, and did not want it placed on there console's.

There best hope for extended play of this version of skyrim, (as I am sure they will have expansions) is with the PC. But they have, to some extent split there PC base, into 2 groups, those that love and embrace steam, and those that hate it. This battle will continue, and probably cause them more loss than good in the long run.

As it drive legit customers in directions that they normally would not go.

But I am sure there are a few hard headed, or people whose basic job depends on the console side of this game that will try to push it in another direction.

It will take time i think to clear its self up.

For some basic mods that shouldn't be so Ram dependent (provided I'm understanding what your asking for) I'd definitely go with Deadly Dragons as it does very little but alter Vanilla aspects of the game with out getting to ram dependent (increases dragon health/life, and variations of them as well as resistances) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3829

I'm more hesitant about things like PISE as it changes basic functions of the game (combat calculations to give a miss chance to swings) and increased and more random spawns may or may not be easily handled by your computer

and if your looking for food, water, and sleep mods I can keep an eye out for you and talk to some of the modders over at the Bethsoft forums to find a good one for you.

@Surenas

Is there a list for Script dragon mods?

@galgat

After you mention the CK bugs, I did some extra reading about it. These bugs hinder so much progress that Skyrim isn't really ready for these whole modding thing.

@Skan01

Deadly Dragons looks interesting, I'll be checking it out. Mods geared towards food/cooking would be sweet!
