Speaking as one of those ^^^ there are some animations in Zaz Animation Pack that aren't included with Sexlab. In particular an OTK animation. Your mod could get such animations into the game?

I don't quite understand what you're doing with this mod/patch, but it sounds interesting, so, I'll ask my dumb questions.


 


For instance, you mention a "sleeping" animation -- so does this mean instead of the boring black countdown screen, you'll see yourself sleep?


 


And the other animations you listed, for instance the massage, would be included in sex scenes?


 


Or are they triggered from dialogue, for instance "Give me a massage" and your follower (or slave or whatever) then does so?

modder's notes:

  • Leito's latest bed aniamtions (preview here) have not been added yet, I currently have no plans to add them just yet as I am still considering how they should be used. They are easily added in the current formT that NSAP handles them which is to add animobjects that just randomly appear but I am trying to think of other ways to get them to be more aware of their surroundings instead of just appearing randomly. I will consider adding them to a future update if I cannot think or make some better way to include them. My current thinking is these animations are much more suited to individual quest/story mods than a general animation pack.
  • I have full plans on getting FunnyBuziness' (seen here) animations added to NSAP as requested by himself and other users. Due to the fact he has his own mod to add them for the time though it is not a priority to animations that don't have a mod to add them with. My aim will most likely to be to add a handful on each update instead of trying to get them all in one go.

That's a very nice initiative, but I just hope that ashal won't renounce to include those animations in the framework because of it (like for more nasty critters) : /

It can! I just have a few bumps. I'm gonna have another look at it tomorrow as it's really late here and my brain is shutting down. ^^

To answer your questions, all this mods does is adds animations into the SexLab Framework, They are all sexual animations. For example, if you go to this post, the animation creator has made a sex animation which I think is wheresomeone was/is sleeping and they have been jumped by someome? I'm not entirely sure. The animation would normally have to wait for the SexLab Framework to be updated in order for it to be used from SexLab's list of animation. All this mod does is adds it to SexLab without updating the Framework itself. Does that make sense?

 

They are not triggered by dialouge specifically, but they are tagged so I assume if you have dialogue mods such as SexLab Romance, then they can be triggered. They would also be triggered by a mod that triggers sex scenes from spells, such as SexLab MatchMaker.

 

If you click the links next to the credit, it will take you to the animation creator's page and you can see gifs/pictures of the animetions. I have simply listed them as they are listed by the creator.

If anything, if Ashal for any reason DOESN'T add the animation themself, this works as a way to get the animations into SexLab. If anything, it would give Ashal more time to focus on other parts. As with More Nasty Critters, the mod gets the animations into SexLab regardless if Ashal updates them or not. It's really a win/win as far as I can see. I cannot see a negative side.

Well, that saves users from having to find and overwrite animations, now you can keep all animations without overwriting, If I understood correctly, works like the ZAZ pack that allows you to add some animations to sexlab.


 


Would it be possible to create a mod that allows you to simply drop animations in a folder and then in-game you access the mod menu and add those to the SexLab animation list?


Or is this already doing that I didn't test it yet.

I don't think you can do this. You would need to edit scripts via Creation Kit, compile them and use FNISforModders to get them to work. Adding them to the folder is not enough I'm afraid. Unless some genuis can create some executable program to do all this which does sound nice in fantasy.

 

This mod simply does the first part. Someone (such as me) gets the animations, edits and compiles the scripts, creates and generates FNIS behaviors and uploads.

The negative side is that the number of esp in skyrim is limited (and having too many of them makes the game launching very slow): / There is already 4 esps in more nasty critters, plus yours, plus the esp from holtoff55, plus many other sexlab mods adding very minor options (sexlab squirt etc...). One day you'll probably leave the forum and someone will create "Non sexlab animation pack extended" (+1 esp), ect, etc...

I guess you see the point, it's very appreciated to have this kind of mod as long as it's temporary : ) But in the long term it makes the installation of sexlab a real nightmare, especially if some modders use all those little esps as a requirement. I'd really prefer to have a single pack that contains all the necessary resources.

Well I see your point there. I guess I didn't consider that part. This mod is only meant to be a temporary solution until they are added to the SexLab Framework, to that point the animations will be removed from this mod and new ones will be added as we go along. It's meant to stop the waiting time between SexLab Framework updates before people can sue the animations.

 

As much as praticality wins that arguement, sometimes having a couple of mods that do different things is can be good, meaning you have people working on things all the time instead of one person hauling all the work by themselves.

 

If Ashal decides to add the animations, it will really just be a copy and paste from the factory and FNIS scripts from this mod over to SexLab so if I do ever disappear, it's a really easy mod to maintain (though I don't plan on disappearing). ^^

Tried this but nothing pops up in the framework

Have you ran GenerateFNISforUsers then gone into SexLab MCM > Rebuild & Clean  and selected "Reset Animation Registry"?

I thought I would mention, that if you run the fomod, it doesn't install the ESP. I installed it manually with MO and I have the esp now. I'm am running FNIS as I type and soon as I get into the game I am going try it :) I'll report after :) I hope this helps.

That's odd. When you say "pops up", I assume you have gone into "Toggle Animations" on the SexLab MCM menu and scrolled to the bottom to see if the animations options show in the list? As there is no debug notifcation. If you can't see them in your Toggle Animations list I'll have a look tomorrow. As no-one else has mentioned any issues I'm unsure to suggest what the issue could be right now. I'll put it in main information for people to report.

Is fomod messing up? I'll have a look at it tomorrow. Are you using Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manager?

 

I don't plan on really keeping fomod around. It was just as it was a BETA so I might remove it if it causes issue. Let me know guys. Thanks! ^^

Fantastic idea; and I can confirm that it (mostly) works just fine. I wasn't able to get FurrySpirit or a couple of 3j's animations to play; but I think that's more than likely just something in my settings or setup.

I would suggest perhaps checking all the animations are in the folders by extracting manually. Some people have said fomod is causing the .esp file not to isntall. Possible others parts not being installed. I plan to sort it tomorrow evening. Also check they are switched on in the Toggle Animations, just in case. If you are still have issues, let me know which ones of 3j's are causing issues and I'll run some tests.
