F.E.P. (Facial Expressions Project)

i need a bit of help, when i activate the expressions they equip for a second then the game freezes for a split second and i hear a noise like a piece of clothing has been unequiped and the face goes back to expressionless. it was working fine before then all of a sudden, i loaded the game up and BAM, fucked up.

Yeaahh, I'd rather not go through your list of 200+ mods to search for one thing that may be conflicting. I'd imagine that some of those installed mods are script-heavy and causing enough papyrus lag to stop FEP from working properly, or one of the mods has an item that automatically equips itself to the slot that the expression ring uses.

 

The only thing I can suggest is to remove a few mods, use the reset face option in FEP and set expression stacking to 1 and back to 0 to see if it helps.

Hmm...probably not this mod causing it but when I added it in game it seems I can no longer see the "mfg console" menu...listing character stats and phoneme/modifier values

Good mod but 98% of these expressions doesn't work on my character.

They stretch her face so unrealisticaly so thats impossible to make her look nice. The only ones that worked were "shy" but just 2 or 3 at the 10% strenght. Usually I use mfg values, max up to 40-50 becouse "higher values = more weirder look"

 

Dunno why , I use improved female facial animations. Yeah I know a lot of this depends on your character texture,mouth,brows,eyes,head shape etc, every part of this can affect on how your emotion in-game looks.

 

In short "facial animations" looks different on each character.

 

And also that mfg guide belongs to me, its quite waay too outdated becouse originaly it was supposed to be a private tutorial for my newbie friends. But Im ( and im already working on it ) going to update it with some newer stuff.  I was also a kinda big noob at that time so.

 

Uhmm also that site from the link has stole my guide, yep they stole it and removed entire "Credits" section and didn't even mentioned the author name. Thats kinda sad when you put some of your free time and your work gets stolen.  You can find original on the Steam , I don't think there are more than 1 "mfg guide's" on Steam.

 

And a little critizism, this mod needs more "normal" facial expressions. Too much pain and aheagos.

Also I'd like to parcipate in adding more facial emotions if you wish. Too bad I lost my entire folders becouse I forget to do a back-up of saved mfg .txt's ( T_T ).

Ah, that's a shame. I'm sorry that happened to you. Maybe you should link your original guide here. I'll remove the one in the OP and replace it with yours until you finish up your newer version of the guide.

 

Define "normal" please. As far as I'm concerned, normal is just the default neutral expression. Clarification would be nice.

I'd like for anyone to create facial expressions for this mod, although, no one from the community has contributed so far...

I think my guidelines are maybe a little too overwhelming. If you want to submit a few, be my guest. I'm out of ideas currently.

No, then I'd have to pull the mod down from the Nexus for using sexlab code, and in addition to that, basically redo the entire mod. 

I can however paste all the values for people to manually input into Sexlab's custom expressions list.

found a huge problem with ur mod.

your mod, and schlongs of skyrim both seem to equip their items to the same slot, so if in the SoS settings you select you change and change ur setting to "dont change" (ie. no penis equiped auto" it will unequip the penis, AND your expression ring.

so your facial expressions get auto unequipped everytime unless the player has a penis allowed.

Fair enough, but i guess slot 52 is reserved in most modern mods just because of SoS.

 

And this mod seems (correct me if i'm wrong) to have been made for female characters exclusively, so using slot 52 is the best solution.

Except for those people who like the Futa or even just go for a strap-on (also uses same slot) during a Sexlab animation.  Best to just avoid slot 52 altogether, consider it used.  And why would expressions be just for females?

Other than that, i can't say anything about the transgender stuff, but the mod author however will have had his/her reasons rather than attempting to discriminate anyone's personal preferences.

And i rather have this mod use 52, instead of losing any of the following on female models:

• Havok Object
  
• Panties
  
• Leggings
  
• Armor Pieces
  
• Earrings
  
• etc.

It's in the adult section because I used a few values from Sexlab.

I'm changing the ring to slot 52, from slot 36 (ring) now. Didn't know there'd be any conflicts using the ring slot.

 

I'll delightfully admit that this mod wasn't made with male characters in mind for the most part. This reviewer seemed to enjoy it on his male character.

However, that's why I specifically asked the community to submit expressions, which no one has done yet.

Well the facial expressions i create for screenshots are usually custom tailored for every situation. It totally depends on race, exact facial structure, eye texture, pose, viewing direction, and overall scene context.

 

Playing around with the options in RaceMenu can lead to some nice insights, like "DST" giving the best grin/smile rather than just "Eee" and such. But i guess you already know

See the second post of this thread. Many people use MFG console commands.

 

Enhanced Character edit has an expressions feature, and I think RaceMenu does too, but the values cannot be exported using MFG Console's save expression command, so they have to be copied individually to notepad or something. 

 

I use ECE, so I modified the Ece ini to include the ID's of each expression/phoneme/modifier, that way I can use the expression sliders and know the exact IDs for easy copying.

I can't answer your question, but i think pretty much every slot is used by some mod. Most people have already felt the nerd rage when they tried to equip that new stocking mod on their character, and the earrings disappeared.
Only slot 52 is pretty much reserved by adult modders due to SoS, at least for male items.

There is no MCM menu for this mod.

I'll look into the issue with the spells not being added. For now, use the reset fep option, or add the spells through the console.

Disable "Player Headtracking" if you use that, it overwrites expressions all the time just like SexLab with expressions enabled.
