$@%!!! (Heartbroken + Necessary Thanks)

Oh god damnit. My favorite blog, http://itigotanmen.blogspot.com, is now gone. The owner took down everything. I suspect he didn't think expect to get so much traffic and only planned to share his mods to a small community, but when his blog link started to get passed around on here, he pulled the plug.

It's a shame really. I loved that blog and I watched it daily for updates. *sigh* I even started to suspect that the owner wanders around here on LoversLab too.

I hate to complain, but I'm gradually getting the feeling that Oblivion modding is starting to dry up altogether as more and more great modders withdraw from the scene. Perhaps it's a sign...

To Thorazine and Skagg, Patzy and megaz, Nightwynd, flingingfeces, GSBModders, thank you all so much. I have loved all your works and I'm thankful that I could be part of your community. To Thorazine and Skagg in particular, I'm grateful that you two still keep DMRA alive.

It's true, but that's only the case now after the blog link has been reposted here several times. But that wasn't really my point. itigotanmen was a great, great blog. It was a repository for, not just Oblivion mods, but DMRA mods and Japanese mods from other sites and blogs and even the blog owner's personal works. There are some things that I can't personally do, and all that was what itigotanmen's owner was doing for me. Not to mention all the delicious screenshots that I was trying to turn into loading screens... but I digress.

I used to feel very excited coming back home to find another mod and set of screenshots added to itigotanmen. Now I suppose I'll just have to find another Oblivion mod blog to follow...

such a sad waste to see someone with that talent hide there work. I never did manage to download anything from his blog. My browser did not like it. I did however enjoy his screenshots and being able to view only his works was far better then going to other sites that full of lesser quality shots

Agreed. His blog had some very high quality screenshots and he had a beautiful, sexy character. The fact that there was seemingly no end to the costumes he'd outfit her with just made her all the more tantalizing, like a personal model.

Wow...this definitely sucks. I'm glad I got all the mods I liked from the blog, but his blog definitely had quality that was worth visiting for.

Are the mods still readily available elsewhere?

If so all is not lost.

Should be. Some of the edits might be harder to track down, though.

This is my fear, as a couple of my absolutely favorite mods in the world will never be finished because someone either caught wind of Skyrim coming or for personal reasons. It's very annoying to look up as much info on certain mods as possible only to find it all ends with "This will never be completed/updated/etc." I really hate that. That and "Never doing anything with Morrowind/Oblivion again, please don't use -mod/etc- I worked on". :( I understand that people take literally weeks of their time to do these things, months and sometimes even years. I would think with so much love and attention popped into the mods/etc. that the last thing they would want for them to do is dry up and die. Never to be refined/completed. There are so many talented people on this site, it's a shame really. Like I said I understand that people wanna move on or whatever reason they may have, I honestly do. But to let it just fade away is such a shame.
