Computer Sound

It's gone.  The only sound I can hear is from Skype.  I've checked everything I can think of.  It was fine before using Game Booster 2.  It won't let me system restore.  Any fix for this?

Try uninstalling your device and then reinstalling it.

OMG OMG OMG!!!  I FIXED IT!!!  I was about to see about uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, but I saw the drop down menu for playback sound had it on RealTek HD or something instead of my sound card.  I switched it to that and tried playing a video and it came in perfectly.  I became so desperate to watch something last night that I resorted to NCIS on USA or w/e it's on.  It's a good show, but it's no anime, ponies, super sentai or whatever else I'd want to watch.  Can't believe the solution was so simple.

What the hell is game booster 2? sounds like spyware to me like those fake optimizer registry cleaner bs programs that try to install when you don't use adblock while looking for free porn.

I think it's an Iobit thing.  And don't ask.  I can't remember where I got it, but I think it was a legit thing.  It did update some things, but it switched my sound settings in the process.
