Help for a Noob

Hello, I'm planning on downloading mods from the site and understand i have to extract files to my data folder (I think?) but i Tried this with other mods and it either broke/ didn' appear on my game. Sorry if it sounds stupid but i'm used to the Nexus Mod manager.

You can use the Nexus Mod Manager with mods from this site, you just have to put the files you download into it's download directory.  Personally though, I recomend switching over to Mod Organizer, it works a lot better.

Yep, just make sure the mods you download have correct path. In NMM you can use "Add Mod from file" function.

But it depends on *what* game you downloading the mods for. Oblivion is better when using (OBMM) oblivion mod manager and fallout New Vegas works better with (FOMM) fallout mod manager.
