First instinct would be to say orc, but then I remember that tusks make kissing hard and I like kissing, so...probably Altmer? But they're really tall and would have to bend down to kiss me and they tend to have thin lips which also make smooching less pleasant.

 

...I'm out of ideas. Whoever has the best personality, I guess.

The sheer amount of people defaulting to modded races tells me a lot of you don't like the Elder Scrolls so much as you like the modding platform they provide, which is a bit sad IMO.

At any rate. Nords and Dunmer are my go-to's. Nord is traditionally my first roll, with Dunmer virtually always following.

Ive played Skyrim MOD LESS for 600-800 hours so your mistaken JEXSAM.

 

After that i started to mod skyrim and eventually completely stop playing and only tweaking and create characters, but thats after around 1200 hours now 2800 hours later i still play skyrim(well tweak and create characters)

 

Do what you like and is fun is that not what people should do, having FUN nomatter how you play Skyrim?

Bosmer/Wood Elves is my 1st choice and Nords the 2nd. 3rd would be Dunmer.

 

I have always liked Bosmer. Most due to their touch with the nature.

Also, since I am guy who likes to play a range character/class in games, having a race who is 1337 with archery is a big plus.

An Orsimer Female would be more tolerant of My RL eccentricities, and would consider My lack of interpersonal Skills as Romantic

I am torn between Nord and Imperial, Nords are strong fierce warriors, but Imperials are stylized after Romans and when I think of Rome, I think of the Colosseum, which showcases bloody combat. In general I play more Imperials in Elder Scrolls games, so I'll go with them.

Altmer and Bosmer are my bias. I'm about due another Dunmer playthrough, but I have to be in a House Do'Urden frame of mind.

Long term? none I am single and happlily so, and have no intention of changing that any time at all.

 

Short term, warm my be for a night or two, any but orc and argonian, breton or imperial would probably top the list though, mostly as nords tend to be shown as blonde, and blondes do nothing for me, and of course you can't really get more cuddly than a big furry pussy cat

if I always hear "I prefer vanilla races", then I must always whole laugh out loud.  
it have long been no Vanilla races more. they are changed by ECE and Racemenu, "their true Appearance" will hardly someone  know, absolutely not more vanilla.

Breton and Imperial for me. Maybe Nord. I tend to stay away from the beast races at least, and I never truly liked the appearance of the elf races in Elder Scrolls. On the danger that I will get burnt on the stake for saying this, but to me Lord of the Rings is the one and only way to portrait elves.

High elfs are my first choice in all elder scrolls, actually, the elfest race is always my first choice when it comes to any rpg game, if they're available.
