Shlongs of Skyrim: Reason Behind Removal

I know that SoS can be downloaded from here, but why was it initially removed from both Nexus n' Ladysomething? Was the author getting bullied or something?

I'm not sure, but maybe because someone here from LL took it over?

If I'm not mistaken, Shlongs was a project started on LL and then moved to Nexus.

As I understand it, VectorPlexus had some real issues with the admins on Nexus, and said he'd never put anything on Nexus again.

It seems like every modder eventually has a problem with the nexus admins. They enforce their rules hardcore and aren't known for being polite about giving warnings so it's always bound to happen. There's also issues with modder vs. other modders who threaten and harass people. then there's miscommunication and misunderstandings all the time. In the end, it's just no longer worth it to be on the nexus. that's why I don't blame modders when they just leave and start their own blogs. Modding is a payless and often thankless job. And when you have to answer to moderators as if you work for for them when they don't have any input in your work, it gets super annoying. The nexus also has the attitude of "we have a ton of other modders here, so if you leave, it's not big loss".

 

So there could be a number of reasons a mod or a modder is gone from the nexus. It might have been removed preemptively to avoid breaking rules or causing drama.
