Noobie needs Help Modding Skyrim...!!!

Hi :)

I downloaded a mod (loli.race+Young.smooth.body.set.UNP-v2.rar) from a link I found here in the mods section because I thought it would be fun to have an additional non-vanilla race to play on Skyrim. I've already downloaded the Ashera (Oriental Beauty), mod off Skyrim Nexus and it installed itself via the nexus mod installer and it looks and works great - so nice in fact that I rarely use the Vanilla characters anymore because they are so crude unless you spend countless hours modding them. After all, who wants gigantic flat boobies with twisted nipples and deformed nether parts on grungy characters? I certainly don't...even though I can understand that some people might find this attractive - different strokes and all.

Trying as hard as I can to add another UPN playable race to my Skyrim game, I just can't seem to figure it out. Would someone be so kind as to help me with this? The directions in the text readme file included in the download doesn't help much as I'm not a techie - I tried to follow the directions to the letter but for some reason it just doesn't work. Nexus makes it easy for noobies like myself to mod their games - probably its main attraction - but the actual process takes place behind the scenes so a user doesn't know how it happens and can't add mods that are not included on the Nexus site without filtering it through Nexus (Conspiracy Theory Fodder..?? or simply effective business practice as my bf pointed out to me with that dumb blond look he gives me when I let him come up with an idea on his own).

Would someone be kind enough to walk me through adding Non-Nexus Mods to Skyrim? Or point me in the direction of information that will allow me to do so?

(I was also wondering if the outfits in the pictures shown in the examples of this mod on this site came with the new character. They are very nice.)

Installing mods can be different depending on how it is packaged and what it contains. Therefore it is not possible to make an ironclad follow these steps list. However there are some basic concepts that have been true from Morrowind to Oblivion to the two Fallout games and now to Skyrim. The engine is still the same it has just been tweaked/updated with each game.

Helpful links: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ

And another: http://korana.elricm.com/OblivionModInstallation.htm

Between the above two links you will quickly shed your noob status. Don't think you need to read every line or even understand everything as that will come in time. They are great to bookmark and refer back to if you have questions.

I'm having this same issue, I apparently picked up the ashen race (oriental beauty) in the WIS bundle, So i see that too, there is somthing strange about;

DOWNLOAD Young Smooth Body Set [uNP]
/>http://www.mediafire.com/?h59b1edtww1x9ix

it appears that the race included in the bundle is '0reintal race.esp' and then 'race compatibility.esm' I'm not sure how all this works but the race is not showing up on my 'showracemenu' menu.

please advise.

ps, I am a techie and I do know how to install mods... just not this apparently.

@goregloom, you are better off posting this in the skyrim technical support section. Did the file not come with a readme or the site that you got it from have info?
