The ONE Mod You Couldn't Live Without

This has probably been done here before somewhere, but just for fun, If you were limited to just ONE mod only, what would it be?

 

For the sake of keeping it simple, let's forget about dependencies / masters...  That way nobody has to say "well I would vote this but it takes 4 mods to make it run, so I can't count it".  Just assume your vote comes with all required files, but you only get one vote.

 

 

For me it'd have to be Interesting NPCs, just because it's epically huge, all voice acted and generally decent content.  Massive bang for the buck there.

The ONE mod I would choose now is Alternate Start Live Another Life.

So SkyUI and the Unofficial Patches count as requirements? Ok then I'd say Gray Cowl of Nocturnal. Falskaar also is great, but the latter one is just newer and I had no possibility to play it yet

I actually refused to play Skyrim the first year, and then one sunny day I were looking around for something, and stumble upon SkyUI and that was all I needed to get into the game.

Yeah, I'd say the game would be unplayable without an ENB (at least for me).  

 

As far as .esp mods however, I would say that Dragon Soul Relinquishment and Dual Sheath Redux have always been essential in my game, but I had to pick one, it would be Dual Sheath.  Its not as if I couldn't play without it, but having an invisible sword on your hip that magically appears when you go into combat was always so annoying in the vanilla game.  

 

But really, there are so many mods I can't play Skyrim without, and its a good thing I don't have to.

is it sad i say "Fertigo pro font"? Dyslexia affects which fonts i can read easily and which ones i cant...the default skyrim font takes me at least twice as long to read as fertigo

 

Im able to glance at text on screen with fertigo and take it in, other fonts don't have that effect on me and require a bit more precise reading :-)

If I were never allowed to use any but one mod ever again, it'd have to be OneTweak. I have a lot of things going on at once and alt+tab to other programs all the time. It was hell before someone clued me in about OneTweak fixing the double cursor issue. It was my first mod ever, and would be my only mod if I were ever allowed just one.

It would have to be Hotkeys++ for me. Being mostly a pure mage or spellsword fan, If I was still faced with having to pause the game while I selected something from my inventory that I couldn't find a spare hotkey for, I'd have given up on it all long ago.

 

I can instant dual cast a frost rune like an MMO-style snare without having to manually re-equip whatever I previously had in my hands - that's about as far removed from default Skyrim as you can get, and it's awesome.

You think the wrong way round. You may only have one mod (+requirements), so what do you want with SL? It doesn't start anything by itself and you may not download any plugins to actually bring SL to life :/
