Trying to decide on a pc build for fallout 4.

I'm currently sitting at this on pc part picker.

I'm basically just looking for suggestions, or tips to see if there are better parts out there for around the same price.

I'm thinking about waiting for the 300x series of radeon cards to come out, but I'm pretty impatient and want to get the comp started so i can run some heavy enb's on skyrim

I'd wait until Windows 10 comes round. Some have noted that Windows 10 has given them a boost in frames in some games like Project Cars and the Witcher 3. 

 

Also, the reason I'd wait would be to see if the Radeon Fury would lower prices. If the Fury does beat the 980Ti, then expect cuts to match it.

I would look at the SSD and see how much a larger capacity one would cost as 480-512 GB ones arent as expensive as they were.

 

Looking on the website you've used their are some crucial and samsung 512 GB that are about $70 to $90 more than the one you've gone for so might be worth looking at as you'd be able to keep more important stuff on the SSD and treat it more like a main drive

 

Not used samsung SSD's myself but have a 512GB crucial one i got for £180 and not had any problems with (came with a free drive cloning program as well)

If i get windows sp1, I get the free upgrade to windows 10, I think if i wait till july I won't get the free upgrade and will be forced to buy it instead.   I'm guessing that it'll be more expensive then 86$ so I'de like to get it before then.

But yea, that is a good point about the price drop, I'm pretty sure I'm going to wait atleast until the 16th to see the stats on the fury atleast.

If it is as good as the 980ti hopefully it looks better, and i can design a computer that's not white/black lol.

It's tough to say no to more ssd space,  I also have a friend telling me to get another 64gb ssd and to use it as a cache.   I'm pretty good with space management as I've been using a 500gb drive and 2 64gb ssd's for the past two years, so I'm not sure if I'll use all that space to be honest.  

 

If i find extra money laying around i might consider getting a 500gb ssd and a 64gb one for cacheing.
