Got a GTX 970 4gb - What settings in ini and ENB?

It gets here on Tuesday. But I got a GTX 970 4gb. I got tired of not being able to run Witcher 3 on good settings (low settings I get 30 fps in Witcher 3 lol), was laggy in DayZ and Skyrim I couldn't use ENB+parallax textures because it was too laggy and I made it too good looking for my old crappy GPU :P I had a gtx 660 2gb, but it was not happy with my high end textures and ENB on lol. Now I can take good screenshots like everyone else :D

Was wondering if there are any settings I need to change in the .ini files so it uses more video ram. Or if I need to change skse or ENB at all? Right now I have videomemory at 8192 I believe in ENB (it uses both video memory and ram from what I read), because my current card is 2gb and I have 8gig ram and its supposed to be minus 2000 or something.

Is there a maximum number to put in video memory or do I still do 8000 ram+the 4000 video ram, minus 2000?

Careful with 670´s memory maths tho:

" While the GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards do carry 4096MB of memory, it is divided into two pools: one pool is 3.5GB, whereas the second one is 0.5GB. The larger, primary pool is given priority and is then accessed in the expected pattern. Since the majority of games do not need more than 3.5GB of memory, no problems occur with the GTX 970. However, in cases when over 3.5GB of memory is required, things get much worse. The 0.5GB of memory in the second pool on the GTX 970 cards is slower than the 3.5GB of memory, but is faster than system memory accessed using the PCI Express bus. As a result, performance may degrade when the 0.5GB pool is used. "

Yeah, I actually do already know about that it doesn't technically use all 4gb of video ram (it sorta does I guess?). Not really a big deal to me. I still got a really nice card that is way better than my 660 I have right now. It takes a lot less power too, and cost less on the electric bill. My card is a power hog lol. But, for the price, the 970s are really good.

I tried witcher 3 on my friend's 970 (I tried it before I bought mine, his isn't as nice or powerful as the one I got) I saw a huge increase in FPS and could set everything on ultra with hairworks on and still get 40+ fps at all times even in the large cities. When I tried it in Skyrim, every single crash I had was gone. On my 660, I get TONS of crashes and low fps. On my friends 970, I can zoom around the world super fast...same exact mods/load order...and have no crashes at all. All my crashes were cause too much video memory being used :P

Make your overcloking (yes for 60FPS it's better) with nvidiaInspector

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html

For the witcher 3, optimise with NVidia gforce experience (http://www.nvidia.fr/object/geforce-experience-fr.html), i have 40/60FPS with high/ultra and hairshavok.

Overclocking don't work for me and the witcher 3, i have toomuch CDT, but you can try by yourself, maybe that from only my computer.

I really hate that memory bs with nvidia cards as if nobody at nvidia ever heard of skyrim and mods. We need MOAR! memory not less or some scam on the memory! all amd can do is not work correctly with some enb and tout this slightly faster HBM memory bid deal:-( I want to go back to nvidia next time I get a gpu but I can't justify the prices for their cards this year. Even if I had a lot of money I don't see the justification of those prices. If amd comes out with something more competitive (dreaming at this point) maybe the nvidia prices will come down but I think the mining craze is still having an effect on gpu prices somehow. I still mine x11 myself with two 270 non x cards. I should have snapped up two 750ti when they were cheap years ago since it would have been better on my mining pc power supply.

I am thinking this whole 4k thing is the primary driver for new video card demand right now but I mean, if your 1080p monitor works and is a decent size why get rid of it? Save the money now and spend it later when something really good comes out for better price? Although I am just saving my money now for fear of bad economic downturn near the 4th quarter.
