Steam for Adults (?)
Kimochi, formerly known as Steamy, aims to be the steam of adult gaming. being that I just found this I have little knowledge of it and will update this post when I have said knowledge. Use will require a login, just as steam does. This can be done here, and does not correlate with a forum account. You will also note that many of the parts of the software refer to things as Steamy still as the name change was only within the last two months from ( 6/13/15 ).

Also note that all games available for this are currently available free, both in the software and elsewhere. Currently featuring 8 games, 2 links to websites or forums with adult game content, and a test game which the developers state, "probably sucks."

A: Probably because it's Alpha and the games included are free. Not to mention its nice of the devs of those games to even do it.

Steam only hold it grounds because of promotions. Want to be on steam? You have to take part in promotions or gtfo. Good luck with achieving that in this Kimochi.

I saw nothing on their forums with a title that suggested an obvious answer to your dilemma (I skimmed). It could of course simply be an issue with their servers. I did have to exit Kimochi at some point for the download bar to re register what was going on (Overnight). I found that it had in fact downloaded the games despite the bar not moving.

Note that you can change the directory for Kimochi under the settings so you don't have to install everything on say your C:\ Drive if you run a solid state.

See if someone with proper technical aptitude and '1337' hacking skills can figure out how to completely nuke this thing first.

Related -I was suprized to see the game Huniepop on Steam. The Steam version even has bare tits (so I hear), but once you get the free dev patch, the girls show everything. Anime puzzle/dating games arent my thing, but I will likely buy this later at some point just to support adult games on Steam.

The Steam version of that game as I understand is heavily edited, meaning no nipples or genitalia shown. However, its not like you cant put 2 + 2 together and figure out whats going on. I also heard that the developers of that game had to fight steam pretty hard to even get on it. Pretty sure the honiepop site even shows you the difference in versions in their picture section.

Its true that the stigma against nudity is too big in places like the US. The SJW movement also makes it harder for devs to put sexy females in their games these days. Hopefull ythis will change in time.

Releasing a pg nudity version on Steam and then giving players the option to get a free R rated nudity patch from the devs website, once they have bought the Steam version is a good idea though. Hopefully we'll see more of that in the future too.
