Now I just wanna say guys, I've been viewing and posting and perusing this site for about 2 years now, and it's in my list of top 3 websites I visit daily on my phone. Facebook, Gamespot and LL. Those are my 3. Obviously I like this stuff, but why the hell are we playing with all this crap in our games? Better yet, why are we adding sexual stuff to a VIDEO GAME? I mean, I don't know about you guys, but the only way I can do something about my friend down there while playing Skyrim is if I get downed with defeat on amd there are like 10 guys around me and I have it set that everybody takes two turns. Otherwise, two hands are always above the desk level.

The thing I'd understand is if sex really added something fun to the game, but apart from an Oblivion sex minigame, I've seen little in the way of "playing" sex scenes, you just have to sit back and watch animations. Again, they're sexy, but I can't jack in 25 seconds, and I sure as hell don't plan to everytime someone gets it.

So, why? I wanna know why we all play around with this stuff. Is it for immersion? Is it to play out our sick fantasies and again remind ourselves that they'll never really happen? I'd like to know what you all think.

Personally, I don't do the sexlab stuff. It doesn't run very nicely on a gameplay oriented setup that is already a bit script heavy. And I'm more interesting in playing than having a separate mod organizer install for sexlab that I'd never use.

 

But, I get the nude and body mods with jiggly boobs because its kinda hot and is more realistic than stiff barbie-doll looking characters. Everybody should love bouncing boobs Plus, I treat my characters like artwork in a way...I can spend half a day making a character to get her just how I want her and then take lots of screenshots.

For me, I use them to either

 

1) Help play a character with a promiscuous attitude who would use sex to get what she wants (66% of my characters are females) or my guys seduce ladies like Ingun Black-Briar, Lydia, Carlotta, etc.  The funny part is that not all of my characters are "horndogs" - some aren't even interested and behave accordingly.

 

2) Add a dose of realism if you should be overwhelmed in combat.  Death is a believable outcome of loosing against a group of bandits, by that same token, being raped would also be a believable outcome if you are a woman.  In Skyrim, just like with other games like it, I always have that one character.  You know the type, evil through and through with no redeeming qualities that everone looks at in the hope that someone somewhere will come along, do the world a favour, and put this motherfucker out of their misery.  My one character is a lying, stealing, drunken, skooma-sucking, misogynistic womanizer who is also a murderer, a cannibal, and a rapist.  Basically, you wouldn't want this man to come within a mile of any woman you cared about.

 

3) You can marry in Skyrim, so why not consummate that union?  I have a few characters that saved themselves for their wedding night, one of whom is the very first character I made for Skyrim the day I got the game.  While she doesn't have "hot pants", her and her husband do fool around from time to time when she's not out doing the Dragonborn thing and their daughter is outside playing with her friends.

 

So ultimately I think the answer is "all of the above".  It does add a great deal of immersion/realism.  It is kinda fun and funny to see a guard get excited that he's about to shag a hot girl.  And yes, it is a way to see your darker fantasies acted out in a way that doesn't hurt anyone

I use it to have interactive furry BDSM porn in my game, to be honest. Sexlab mods that I am using are doing it in a believable way, like being captured or persuading someone instead of "cast sex spells". Most of my characters are serial killers so it also helps with immersion as long as it allows someone to follow me or raises NPC's disposition towards me, so other mods can make him or her a follower. I can lure others into my basement instead of leaving dead bodies on the streets.

Sexlab mods are script heavy and it is the only thing I have a problem with. It forces me to turn off other mods (just a few), otherwise Skyrim will crash like crazy or save games will eventually get broken to the point where it is impossible to even load them. But it's worth it.

Whatever happened to "Covet thy neighbors wife?" It helps reveal greater forms of good and evil, right and wrong -- have you been good? or evil? I find this type of gameplay very meditative; and discover how non-violent I become when offered -- alternatives.

 

Everyone should play an LL modded skyrim; help discover themselves..

For a serious play character I always choose male unless there is a game advantage to playing a female.  The only adult content used is body replacers and the skeleton support for them.  I have to agree that I don't want script-heavy mods doing cell scans and papyrus constantly running for things I'm not using.

I am the same. I use Mod Organizer so I can have multiple profiles. I always have at least types of profiles...

 

1) Basically vanilla, but cleaned and carrying all the performance tweaks available so I can play without funny bugs or lag.

2) One that's all kinds of sexed up in any way I feel I want it to be at that time.

 

I can have more profiles as well, for testing or just playing with a different set of mods.
