Ah. As flattered as I am; the current system works pretty well already. No need to waste times on doing this rather than adding new features; not unless it really sticks in your craw the wrong way and you have to refine to a more standardized setup.

My personal wish list would actually center mostly on more depth for existing elements.  More things to do with succubus magic, further events in Claire's line (especially if you take her into your court with the intent to corrupt her), some events for Lilithians, further development on the consequences of having vampires or werewolves in your court, and so on.  There's a lot of good things already in the mod, and I'd like to see more of them.  It can sometimes cause trouble when a mod tries to spread itself too thin, doing a little of everything instead of focusing.

Of course, it's not like I'm going to turn down new elements if they're added, but I'm eager to see more of what we've already got.

I've no plans on adding any new elements, only building upon existing ones.

That's why so far I've completed a new event for Harley (which has the requirement of a werewolf in your court), and a new monster hunter.

While I'll tweak some of the existing things to better fit how my approach has matured during this quest of mod creation, my main focus indeed is fleshing things out. I'll probably package and release an update every 4-5 events that get added.

A-ah. I'm not asking for a new system, but the suggestions I've made are mostly things that are already planned in. Please do consider an Angel Breeding (Or perhaps a Fallen Angel) event chain, though.

i finally got around to figuring this bug out.   The DLC Early Western clothing pack, breaks the custom portraits among the western rulers during the start dates for charlemagne and the old gods. the portaits show like a regular portrait with red dots all over their faces, disabling this dlc box seems to fix all problems.

I salute you. That means I can probably find a way around it.

I don't know if anyone's brought this up yet but with the new Lilithian faith, I can't seem to invite anyone to court. They always say No due to false pagan or something. I also can't demand any religious conversions. I don't know if this is intentional or not but it's certainly making certain things difficult.

You likely won't be able to because you're the only Lilithian pagans out there at the start, meaning that they'll treat you the same as they treat pagans not of their own type. It makes sense - you've openly declared that you're worshipping what others believe to be demons, so people aren't exactly going to be flocking to you at first.

Note though that you can still create new courtiers through the default intrigue options of invite noble/holy man/present debutante, so there is that.

The best bet you'll have, over the long haul, will be to get your religion reformed, and then start sending out various individuals to marry foreign rulers of other pagan faiths, in hopes that they will eventually convert people.

Oh okay. So it's a feature of the game apparently and not a bug. Good to know.

Also, I did a bit of thinking on the various holy sites, and wanted to make some suggestions. There aren't any historical sites directly associated with Lilith, but there are a number associated with female goddesses of love/sex/fertility that have been associated (however loosely) with Lilith, including the various goddesses of the pre-Hebrew pantheons that are mentioned in the old testament, however indirectly, such as Ishtar/Astarte/Inanna/Ashtoreth, as well as the much more familiar Greco-Roman goddess Aphrodite/Venus. Based on that, as well as keeping an eye to play balance, here are some examples:

1) Rome.

Aventine Hill in Rome was the site of one of the more famous temples of Venus, who was seen as being the mother of the Roman people (as Aeneas was her son). It would also have some seriously powerful symbolic value since it's also the seat of the old Roman Empire, not to mention taking it means kicking the Catholic church out.

2) Cyprus.

Cyprus was one of the centers of the cult of Aphrodite, and one of two claimed birthplaces (the other being Kythera, in the CK2 province of Monemvasia). Corinth (Korinthos) would also be another candidate here, as it was the site of a major temple of Aphrodite.

3) Ruins of Uruk

This is associated with the Babylonian/Sumerian goddess Inanna/Ishtar/etc. The CK2 location would be the Bishopric/etc of Wasit, in Al Amarah, Tigris, Mesopotamia.

4) Temples of Astarte

This is the Phoenecian/Canaanite version of the above, and had noteable temples in Tyre (Tyros), Carthage, Malta, and Granada.

Some possible locations in North/Northwestern Europe? There don't seem to be any strong locational ties outside of the "ancient world" stuff (maybe sites in Ireland associated with the Morrigan (triune female goddess)? Not sure about any particular site, but seems to have stronger reference to Ulster/County Meath area), but it would probably be good to have a more balanced distribution.

My overall suggested list, for game balance/difficulty, would be something like:

-Rome

-Site in Greece/Cyprus

-Site in Near East (like Tyre)

-Site in North/Northwest Europe

-Site in Granada or North Africa

This gives 1 site that's always Catholic, 1 that's always Sunni, 1 that's Orthodox, and 2 that could vary depending on start date.

Correct, it's a vanilla CK2 limitation of being part of the pagan faith group.

Heh. *facepalm*

I figured out the issue with why the Lilithian faith wasn't showing the reformed button.

Barring anything insane, I'll be tossing up a new update sometime tomorrow. Regarding insane - tomorrow is Halloween, and I've kids. So who knows. That's my disclaimer. :)

Ones that I'm keeping as they are, are: Dipalpur, Hebron, Bahrein.

Those three locations have strong links to Lilith and her travels. The other two were just more or less tossed out there because Whiltshire is Stonehedge territory and Holland was because of its present den of sin and vice.

I'm fine replacing Whiltshire and Holland.

Keeping the other three - what would you recommend as a replacement for Whiltshire and Holland then?

What was it?

Heh. I'd be scared of my kids discovering this. I think there was a semi-famous Harry Potter fanfic author who wrote a bunch of Harry/Lilly incest smut... and his mother found out. Awwwkwaarrddd.

Oooh. Other than recommending sites; whenever you successfully holy war/gain control of a holy site, you could mayhaps throw an party orgy to celebrate?

Tomorrow is still looking good for an update. I'm going to call it a night, and do a final test tomorrow before packaging and posting it.

Change log for what will get released.

v1.10
    - Added: Another Harley event
    - Added: New Monster Hunter, the Dark Elf Verrona
    - Added: Fenris and Vlad may now obtain lands of their own after a decade if things work out for them (death or prison time ruins their plans).
    - Added: Generic Werewolf hunting for non-Red Riding Sisterhood monster hunters
    - Added: Once your Succubus accepts the Lilithian religion, she can do a targeted conversion on her court chaplain
    - Fixed: Lilithian faith now shows the reformed button, and can indeed be reformed (difficult, but possible).
    - Tweak: Players no longer notified about Vlad and Fenris start, as it was primarily for debugging
    - Tweak: Adjusted how Harley events are handled (if you reject her, she goes to another court).
    - Tweak: You can only motivate your own Chancellor

I have a fix for the Early Western Clothing Pack incompatibility. Drag the attached file's contents into Dark World's interface folder. I collaborated with Dew on this, so we're on the same page.

Edit:

ok some of the pics work some of them don't and end up with there numbers on them like 84 and thous above 10 form what ive seen that is so far it dose not work in old gods our Charlemagne witch is a pain

Yes, some portraits stop displaying content at about portrait 10. The remaining portraits counting up to 84 are placeholder images, displaying black silhouetted characters. Dew mentioned adding more characters, so what's left is a template for him.

Charlemagne and the Old Gods DLC are perfectly compatible with Dark World, but because Charlemagne and the Old Gods occur early in the timeline, they're sharing content from the Early Western Clothing Pack DLC, which is conflicting with Dark World's portraits. Attach the following file's contents and you should be fine.

NOTE: ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE EARLY WESTERN CLOTHING PACK DLC, DO NOT USE THESE FILES! Your affected characters will be naked!

That was quick. This probably should be included in the newer versions of the mod, or be put in the OP.

There's really no 'wrong' locations since we're just inventing it pretty much. :)

From a game balance point, if they're too scattered, then you're unlikely to take control of even a majority of them without being a massive empire. It's also tricky since we don't know where the religion is going to start, but I suppose that's on the player.

I do like they symbolism of Rome, in overthrowing the Catholic church. Other than that, I'd suggest generally something in Southern Europe/Greece/etc so as not to be too far from the others.

Is that a bug, or a feature? ;)

Also, I downloaded the 1.10 file, but when I load the game, it says "1.01" on the CK2 mod select screen still. (I wiped all my files prior to installing the new version, so it shouldn't be an overwrite failure on my local system).

I just forgot to update the .mod file with the version number. Sorry about that confusion.

Same here. Still, all the features work properly.

I would recommend moving the holy sites from Whiltshire and Holland over to India or Nubia or Abssiyna. Or removing either Hebron or Bahrein and moving that one into Europe. As of right now, in order to reform the faith you are requiring players to fight the Arabian Emprire. (Either to get the two holy sites in their territory or to get trough to India.) It also forces an expansionist playstyle, which not everyone likes.

It's possible to reform without all 5 sites - it's just more difficult the less you have.

You don't need to have all 5 to reform, just to get to 50% authority to reform.

You get 10% for full control per site, and 5% for partial control.

Your best bets are going to be:

a) winning holy wars (3% per, lasts for 20 years)

B) Looting infidel temples while raiding (1% per, lasts for 20 years)

c) Building temples (1% per, lasts for 20 years)

You might be able to get conversions, but I wouldn't count on it.

In the unlikely event that you're the target of a great holy war/crusade, you get 10% for winning for 20 years.

Once you -do- manage to reform, your life becomes a lot easier, as you get 20% for free from being organized, and get a bonus based on the religious head you now have (piety/prestige, and if they control a holy site).
