Best male bodies?

Hey guys, there's been a few threads like this but they never make much progress. The best one was only good because of that shared account talking to itself

 

So, what are some good male body mods? I feel like I could count the ones I've found so far on one hand, and ALL of them seem to be this rigid, goofy phenotype where the overbuilt pecs would logically stop the character going through doors.

The best I've found is Smooth Male Bodies but all that does it get rid of edges, seams and some hairs... It still has rows of chunky, asymmetrical muscles.

 

I don't mind why you suggest mods, where you got them from (links pref. here or Nexus though :3) or what your interest is.

• You could be a gay guy or straight woman who wants a 'cute' guy,
  
• you could be a straight male who got fed up of seeing hulking beefcakes all over the place,
  
• you could be purely in it for realism, and not enjoy seeing underfed mages look like they survive purely on steak and steroids.
  

So yeah, the point is made. I love the community here so don't feel pressured to find the absolute perfect suggestion first try, and of course don't worry about just discussing stuff between yourselves.

Personally, I use Complete Male Overhaul (CMO) but unfortunately the author decided that his work wasn't good enough and has hid the mod. He says he's working on a new male overhaul and that was several months ago when I saw the statement from the CMO mod page. Hopefully he is working on one as CMO was one of the better male overhaul mods out there, it actually required SOS - Full so you didn't have to worry about genital issues when using the two together. 

 

There were multiple versions so low-end PCs could still run it just with lower-res textures, and high-end PCs could run it with high-res textures.

 

Here's a screenshot of it with one of the medium texture resolutions, so not the best quality that it can offer but it's still good enough for me.

There are a few out there, which is too bad. If it was not for gay men who mod we would be stuck with only one male body type I swear.

I'm using Slim male body for SoS. Milkdrinker version that is available in the optional downloads is my favourite. This body type is actually skinny (at 0 weight) or slim (at maximum weight) without huge arms or massive pecs of doom.

I prefer this body type IRL and I don't want my vampire/necromancer/rogue/bandit character to look like a manly alpha male who NEEDS SOME FUCKING PROTEIN spends most of his time on lifting warhammers and eating grilled chicken breasts.

I think NickNozownik's link for Slim Male Body is my favourite, I'll be getting it now. It reminds me of a body I used to use before losing it during a mass delete of my Skyrim stuff to remove a failed uninstall of a texture/mesh pack. It seems pretty much perfect to me; Good balance of realism and attractiveness for any character short of an Orc brute or something

 

Anyway, the other comments are still good, I've come across them before and used one or two of the Husbando page. Even though I didn't go with the other suggestions I hope we've helped any who came to lurk and silently explore the thread :3

Actually there is no "high rez" CMO, because he required Better Feet to go with it, and better feet has both it's own low rez texture and a different UV, so when you pick the 4K option, all you're getting is a 4K face, the body textures are overridden by BFF, and if you don't use BFF, the feet textures will be upside down.

Or you can let CMO supply the body textures by loading it last. I've got SOS, FemFeet Redesigned, and CMO installed in that order and there are no issues. I won't dispute the fact that there never really were high-resolution textures for CMO as it's been several months since I last saw the mod page and don't remember all the details about the mod. All I remember was there being multiple versions listed with high and low-resolutions textures, whether or not that was true isn't something I know enough to say either way.

The 4K textures are there, they're just overridden by FF.

Well, mine aren't. Unless I'm missing something, I'm looking at SOS, FFR, and CMO in Mod Organizer and CMO has it's resources loaded last overwriting the body textures from SOS and FFR. All the males look normal in game and there are no missing or distorted textures on the face, body or feet.

 

I always though I had the load order right considering CMO required SOS and FFR, but even if I'm wrong I'll still leave it like it is because it works and no reason to fix it, even if it is kind of broken in this case.

I have always used the excellent "Better Males" mod. I use the Default install "rugged" skins, and Underwear meshes. It is a really good aesthetic fit with the female skins I use (and vice-versa), & has always been a solid, high-quality mod.

I have been curious about what can be done with a SAM body... but both SAM and SoS are Script intensive and so I stay with the FavoredSoul Erect from 'Better Males'...I love the muscles and definition personally ...I don't find the Arnold Schwartzenegger body build attractive, but though FavoredSoul is muscular it is not over top extreme, I remain a fan of it with Urshi's Fine Textures

 

I think a lot of it comes down to the limitations of your game, as I mentioned the 'Scripts'...I use a Mod that is Script heavy and love that Mod (adds Battle challenging NPC's as random walking encounters (not placed in the world, spawns on the PC and so very random), Sleeping no longer safe, Dungeons are more populated and so a lot more dangerous, etc...)...And so I remain careful in how many extra Script Mods I add and an animated c*ck just doesn't make the cut for the essentials ...My one wish would be the Mesh work on the FavoredSoul C*ck were better, but I can live with it as it stands (Pun intended ) ...Oh, another would be some Armor love for this Body, but that's not going to happen either...I can't Mod myself out of a wet paper bag, have tried numerous times. so won't happen.

 

If you want to cut down on Scripts, there was a Mod on Nexus that added slim framed, much less muscular Men, but I can not remember the name of it I am sorry
