Keeping track of places you want to return

Ok, so let's say you go to a vampire den but you can't kill anybody so you want to come back later. Since the map marker is now white instead of black you'll probably forget.

 

Or let's say you want to see what's inside a chest but it's a Master lock so you have to come back when you learn how to open it.

 

What do you do (short of writing everything down) to remember to go back there?

 

I have tried Jaxonz Map Markers with limited success because I can't annotate the marker so I forget what's there.

 

Anybody have a good mod for this problem?

The Cleared status. There's a good chance that the place you want to return to isn't cleared. As for the locked chest issue...I am a dirty cheater and use Lockpick Pro!

Take Notes.

Works fine for me, and I can describe any location with more detail (like "near Rorikstead") so I know where to start searching in case I'll decide to clear it 40 levels later.
