Does changing texture quality affect custom textures?

Hi! I wonder if reducing texture quality, also downscales custom textures I installed, in this case for body, armor and clothing. When I looked for myself I couldn't really tell as the custom textures seem to be affected a little but not in the same grade as the vanilla ones.

Thank you in advance!

Instead of reducing texture quality, you may be interested in optimize them. Run this program (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13529/?) to optimize your textures (inside BSA files, choose .dds only so it doesen't touch the .nif) without touching the original game files. Could help you getting some performance boost.
