Some quick help to sort out long standing issues?

Hi,

I hate to ask the community for advice on some mods, as similar questions seem to be asked quite often, but I've run into several technical issues with Defeat/Submit, DAYMOYL and SD+, such that I can't really do any kind of playthrough, and I think I might be missing something,

To start, all of the non-sexlab mods I have installed I've determined to not be causing any issues(ctds or otherwise), and each of the sexlab mods are installed with all dependencies and are not in conflict with any other mods, according to each mod's 'compatability' page(excluding unknowns of course).

So basically what I'm trying to do is to have a playthrough, where if I get killed by non-humanoid creatures, I just die like a normal game, and if I get killed by humanoids, DAYMOYL kicks in and one of various scenarios starts(I have the various slavery/captivity mods set up for this, including SD+). And finally I want the option to surrender manually, thus triggering submit/defeat(Not sure which I'm going to use yet) as an option of last resort to avoid the harsher fate that occurs after blacking out.

I'm trying for a permadeath playthrough by the way, where I play extremely carefully, and play out any captivity scenarios that occur, and if I die, go back to the start.

Here are the issues I'm facing.

DAYMOYL: on blackout, no scenarios ever trigger, I just fall over for 10 seconds, than stand up again in bleedout mode and proceed to get whacked some more by enemies.(I'm certain I have various possible scenarios installed from other mods.)

Defeat/Submit: non-humanoid creatures can't kill me. I essentually can't die; presumably due to player immunity setting put in place to start these mods on bleedout. I tried turning these off(I'm new to submit, but I think at least Defeat has this option), but then everyone killed me without anything triggering.

SD+: the oply problems here have to do with DAYMOYL not working, as the only other option to start this is to use it's surrender hotkey, which I don't plan on doing, as this will be reserved for less harsh Defeat/Submit to try to avoid slavery, which would happen on blackout if I fail to do this. :P

If you need my modlist, I'll post it, along with anything else needed.

BTW I'm using Mod Organizer, and have made to sure to use FNIS and LOOT.

I'm still new to all this, I've tried to set these mods up several times over the past year or so, and always end up giving up for awhile because I can never seem to get everything stable to actually play them.

Thank a lot for any help!

I'm doing a very similar playthrough so I guarantee that this CAN work, just need to figure out what's missing.

First off, turn Defeat's probabilities to trigger down to zero in MCM for everything related to the player being defeated / knocked down by power attacks etc. Instead, DAYMOYL has an scenario as a Bleedout outcome that can handle the Defeat scenes. I found this to be the only way to make sure SD+ can trigger as well, if you don't turn down these probabilities then Defeat will trigger when you get knocked down every time, and by the time it's done its thing you are no longer in the position for SD+ to trigger, if that makes sense. What now happens is when you go into Bleedout you will EITHER get the whole Defeat deal OR the enemies will keep hitting you into Bleedout, where SD+ can trigger instead.

Secondly, SD+ triggers on Blackout in DAYMOYL iirc (can't double check this right now but I believe this is the case), this means you need to be knocked down into Bleedout mode then be hammered on for a while until you lose all Bleedout health and go into Blackout. I noticed what usually happens is the enemies do not deal enough damage to realistically cause you to reach Blackout before you get back up again. There is an option in the MCM menu for you to take more damage when in Bleedout so the bar drops quicker, I recommend playing with that a bit and see if that fixes it.

For the non-humanoids not being able to kill you, not sure. Try the rest of this stuff and see if it sorts itself out.

Finally, make sure essential player is switched on in the DAYMOYL options, it helps stuff trigger better based on past experience.

Hope this helped!

Thanks very much for the tips. I went through all this, and even trie duninstalling smoe stuff that might've been conflicting, and still no luck. I finlly decided to just wipe the mods and start over using the STEP guide, which I didn't do last time. Hopefully then I can get this stuff working properly.
