VRAM & HDT body/Vagina

Not going to bother with my Load Order, Computer Specs, or anything Because I got a simple question.

 

I started playing again and decided to upgrade all of my mods that I normally use.  Problem was that I started getting a drop in frames that never went back up after I'd dare to say around 5 mins.  As I was trying to trouble shoot this I came across a new problem where body and feet textures (hands and face unaffected) are showing up "Black".  Someone told me this is a simple issue of my VRAM running out.  This is a new one on me I've never seen this or heard of it.  But it made me wonder because I did read that running out of VRAM "might" be my cause.  Originally I dismissed this cause my laptop has run Skyrim since I installed it at High detail, (hence why I'm not bothering with specs).

 

My question:  Could the HDT Body/Vagina be the cause of ALL of my problems?  (I ask this because all of my problems started with this/these mods being installed.  Still, it could be I have an HD texture that I'm unaware of)

 

I plan to rebuild my Skyrim folder for 2 reasons 1: to get rid of junk that either never worked or I just don't use (FFVII Music for instance, this is why I'm not bothering with a load order).

For the most part HDT is a pretty heavy load on your system. Which is why I don't recommend having bbp/tbbp enabled clothing for every npc.

Maybe only for custom armors/equips, and when naked.

HDT itself shouldn't affect that as it has nothing to store in VRAM. But if you have added any textures, not matter the size, it might cross the line and when all the textures that are needed do not fit into vram... well you get black stuff.

Are you running a 32 bit windows?

64 bit windows.

 

Clothing... might be it.?  I do have the skimpy armor set installed but that's just the vanilla replacer.  Hmmmmmmmmm... Here's the thing.  If I rebuild my Skyrim folder I'm not sure if there was something I installed that is causing this or HDT it's self.  I was having 2 problems without any Sexlab related material active.  1: HDT Body/Vagina with the Black textures, again, only on body and feet (no issues with basic nude).  2: was getting a CTD any time I tried to remove/change the body outfit... ONLY after HDT install.  Before installing this I have no issues at all... though FPS drop is unknown due to trying to figure out why I was getting Black textures and CTD.

Ok well... everything is up and running, no issues regarding CTD's and Black textures... but the FPS Drop is still there... *sigh*.

Just gonna ask a random question, however if you don't want to answer it then I understand since you said you wont bother with system specs.

 

How much VRAM and RAM do you have?
