I've tried them all and I vote none.

You can manage you hire 3 followers without an overhaul if you use one vanilla recruit, one from Interesting NPCs, and one custom follower like Vilja or Inigo.

AFT and EFF. I used be a decent UFO user because it was so good however the problem with it was because of its compatibility issues with  standalone followers. UFO probably wont be updated anytime soon so yeah I decided to make the switch to AFT and I like it so far.

Also what's EFF?

Extensible Follower Framework, by the author of RaceMenu. The link to it is in FastestDogInTheDistrict's post, right above yours.

Is it any better than AFT? I can't really judge for myself as i have never used it.

That's down to personal preference really. I would say yes, it's better. It has everything I need for managing followers and doesn't spam papyrus logs with errors like AFT did. EFF uses MCM and an in-game radial menu rather than dialogue to access all the options which to me is much more straightforward and makes it easier to select what I need, and it's all very customisable. Some people have said dialogue is more immersive than a menu, and I can understand what they mean by that, but I always found navigating through AFT's dialogue a bit of a chore.

The best thing to do is give it a test run if you can, perhaps on a new game, and see what you think. Maybe it adds a feature you don't like, or takes a feature away that you want to keep. While AFT is fine I much prefer EFF. You might be the same or you might be the opposite. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.

AFT fits my personal taste the best, but EFF is definitely better than UFO.

I just prefer the simplicity of AFT, all the while being able to set specific outfits for your followers during certain times (Default/Sleepwear/Special).

The amount of EFF options just overwhelm me, personally. But for those who don't mind it, it does add quite a few extra things that AFT doesn't.

I'll change my vote from NONE to Extensible Follower Framework. I didn't realize EFF had been updated and improved. It's quote good now.

I've used all 3 and always end up going back to EFF.
