Crash while smithing

I have this particular problem, that I have never ever been able to pass. Sometimes when I'm smithing in the forge I get a random CTD.

I don't know if it's because I'm using too many mods that add outfits or not, or even if there is a workaround.

Thanks in advance!

a couple of things springs to mind when I see it.

ASLAL - Hearthfire Support.esp you do not have heartfire installed or check on as far as I can see.

XPMSE.esp Needs to be as clost to the bottom of the load order as you can but above Bashed Patch, 0.esp

NewmillerPiercings3.esp
NewmillerPiercings2.esp

change their place in the load order sould help evne though you did not crash on start up :)

of any other I am not sure . but when it is crafting related it could crash when crafting.

also in stall those of for them you have http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?

Skyrim = Unoffical Skyrim they more the most would think ;)

Nah, that Hearthfire support is for the DLC, which I don't have yet. I need to buy that one in steam :P

I use LOOT and Wrye Bash to put a correct order, so I don't know if there is gonna be some potential f*ck ups if I change something of place xD

If I remember correctly, the crash occur probably whenever I'm near a Turbosnowy Fetish outfit. Which doesn't appear properly too btw... But I'm not sure if that is causing the problem. Also tried sliding through outfits fast, it also crash doing that.

I'll check the unofficial patch, but whenever I have tried to install with Mod Organizer, It doesn't download properly...

Thanks

""Nah, that Hearthfire support is for the DLC, which I don't have yet. I need to buy that one in steam :P""

hmm would it not crash then if you do not have HeartFire ? or is it a compatebility patch so like more homes + HeartFire compatebility :)

""I use LOOT and Wrye Bash to put a correct order, so I don't know if there is gonna be some potential f*ck ups if I change something of place xD""

True it should not be a problem.... But you are having a crafting problem ;) and they are craftable in the smith menu :)

""If I remember correctly, the crash occur probably whenever I'm near a Turbosnowy Fetish outfit. Which doesn't appear properly too btw... But I'm not sure if that is causing the problem. Also tried sliding through outfits fast, it also crash doing that.""

That is a strong indicator that it could be that one :) alteast as far as I have expirience

hmm could be a mesh problem but is that enough to crash it ... Have you tried uncheck the plug-in which has Torbossnoy Fetish outfit , clean the save or started a new one to see if it help ?

""I'll check the unofficial patch, but whenever I have tried to install with Mod Organizer, It doesn't download properly...""

I do not know I did not have anyproblem installing them not with MO or NMM... and as the fix critical bugs, CTD and the lot... they are skyrims life-savers at least to me :D

Have you tried what is writen on the Sticky in their "Posts" section not the one upgrading windows but opgrading MO :)

ATTENTION MOD ORGANIZER AND/OR SKYPROC USERS

Mod Organizer Users:

If you are having trouble with the USKP being listed with the ESP files and other mods claiming they're missing a master, you need to update to MO version 1.3.8 or higher. OLDER VERSIONS WILL NOT WORK.

If you cannot update MO because your OS is no longer supported, this is 2015, get a copy of Windows 7. Or use another mod manager that doesn't have this issue, like Wrye Bash or NMM.

(Yes, I mean Windows 7. I may be a jackass, but I'm not evil and won't suggest you get 8, 8.1, or 10.)

Skyproc Users:

Get the author of the SkyProc patcher you're using to update their patcher files. The issues with SkyProc have been fixed for over a month now and there is no longer any excuse for them not being updated.

If the author of your patcher is inactive or refuses to update their work, you should strongly consider dropping their mods from your load order and finding current alternatives that are being properly maintained.

The old workaround is no longer something we recommend people do as they are routinely skipping steps and corrupting their games by using it, then blaming us for their errors.

Manual installation

You just drop the files into your "Skyrim\Data" folder and use LOOT to sort them in the proper order.

Yeh is a compatibility patch, so I have to have that one unchecked because I don't have Heartfire, but the mod that is working with that, It does works.

I have tried in the past, I think that may be the case, but I do want some of the outfits Turbosnowy gives :D

A single mesh problem can't give a CTD? Holy now you'll tell me next that Skyrim code must be barely holding out with scotch tape. I didn't know that!

I use Nexus Mod Manager updated, so that's the one that is giving me problems to install Unnoficial patch. I'm also using a non-english version of Skyrim, the spanish one to be precise. Some stuff works fine with english and spanish mixed but it seems that patch is stubborn to be installed in my version.

Thanks for the help!

that should not pose a problem then :)

hmm I have not expirence that with the NMM 0.56.1 but I had the mods install before updating NMM.  So if there were problems installing them I would not be able to see it.

Using non-english Skyrim should not cause any problems. If they did it right then only the displayed text that you read should be in spanish not items in the codes  which is what mods uses.

""A single mesh problem can't give a CTD? Holy now you'll tell me next that Skyrim code must be barely holding out with scotch tape. I didn't know that!""

it can yes as it looks for the mod that install the mesh.  Oufit is not just meshs but also holds other Values. Armor is the most noticable.  but also needs to know want it needs to craft it like leather and how many.  ID and some has even script if they where ment to move with the breeze :)
if those values is not there when you browse a crafting scene and get to the item by uninstalling the mod it going to CTD  if the item is still present in the crafting scene :) same goes if it is in inventory or a seller as the item.

Skyrim 1.0 Just out of the box and without mods patch it up it feels like it was held together like that with scotch tape ;)

Crash on startup even without touching mods. CTD on sleep, fast travel and going into loadscreen. I  CTD  once just by sitting in the prison wagon  before the game started

that just some of the worst I have had :) Went a way from skyrim a month or two after that to make sure most of those was clean up.

and you a quite welcome :) I just hope I can help ;)

::EDIT:: have you tried reset Invalid archive and tried to reinstall the unofficial Skyrim patch ?
