How do you use Mod Organizer when you want to manually change some files ?

How do i manually change files ? I have a UNP follower than I want with CBBE, I started using MO right now and dunno where to replace the skeleton and textures to avoid different head, body and hand textures.

I usually do it one of two ways, navigate to where the mod is installed.

Go to \ModOrganizer\mods folder and find your follower mod folder and then replace the files

Or repack another .7z/zip file with the same structure of the follower mod with your files in place and install that using MO and load it under the original.

Another shortcut is to simply find the mod within MO, right click it, and open in explorer. Same as navigating to the mod directory of MO by yourself, but if your profile is like mine, that mod folder is actually quite massive with alternative mods that are enabled/disabled between profile changes and random whims. Just personal preference otherwise I guess.

2 ways of doing it

1. create a mod directory after the mod you have that overwrites the mods due to mod order hooking(e.g models from X on mod 10 replaces model on Mod 9) do this by making a self mod zip where the directories match the original mod

2. right clicking the mod in MO and open in explorer. since MO downloads mods separate from main folder, the folder directory is much more cleaner and easier to navigate. find the file you want to replace and replace/backup(in case of something wrong)

I often change things right in the mods folder. No backups necessary, just tell MO to reinstall the mod and it's returned to its original condition.

when i used to use NMM, I just manually went to my data folder and took files from Meshes and Textures folder. The meshes had femalebody_0 and  1 files where as textures had the dds files.
