Permanent night. Why is this?

So I just downloaded a mainscreen and music mod from here:

5th one down, "Main menu theme V 3"

 

Went to Nexus to learn where to put the files.

 

"Data folder"... Hmmm, says I.  Backup time!  Except, that's odd, these files are all "new", and there is no "Meshes/Interface" folder, or "Music" folder, or "Textures/Interface" folder in the Data folder.  Hum.  Well, at least I know what to delete if something goes wrong.

 

Installed.  Permanent night.  Dark, dark, dark, even during daylight hours.  Crap.

 

Deleted it all. Game loads fine, but:

 

Aaaand it's still perma-night.  Clock says 9AM, 10AM, 2PM, but it's dark, burning lanterns and all.  Any clue what I might have messed up?  Thanks all.

 

Think it might be a texture problem, as the characters face is dark, even with a torch equipped, and burning bright in her hand.

 

Well, hell.  Having loaded up an earlier daylight save, it's daylight during the day again, mod back in place.  I dunno.

Did you ever do the vampire lord quest chain for Harkon? Think that makes it perma night.

Nope.  I did nothing with the Dawnguard quest, or Hakron.  Though the mention of vampires...  I think I was in a vampire cave when I activated the mod, come to think of it, and I seem to remember something about "Make sure you're in the 'open world' Skyrim, before activating a mod", or something like that.

 

Movarth's Lair, northeast of Morthal; that's where I was.  Incidently, upon leaving the lair, even at the earliest point, it's still dark during the day.  I have to go back to a save prior to that to get daylight again.  I have not tested the "daylight again" save extensively enough to tell if this truly is the fix.
