Eyes glitch - help needed

Have a problem that occurred from "nowhere". I just loaded my save and discovered that both, Adrianne Avenicci and Ysoda got this issue. No other females that were overwritten by FOG mod were affected by this glitch but them.

I tried everything;

- surfed the net for solution, no adequate solution for my problem found

- load an earlier save - no help

- cleaned my saves with save cleaner tool - no help

- reinstalled the mod "Followers of Gol - The Five Housecarls and The Women of Whiterun" because they both were overwritten with this mod

- reinstalled their body textures and meshes - no help

- tried even with "Eyes Glitch Fix" mod

- started a new game - no help

- re downloaded and reinstalled mods, but no help either.

Does anyone have any idea how can I fix this? Help please. Thank you.

Do you use mod organizer?

If so, do not rely on LOOT to sort correctly.

Manually adjust your load order in the left pane, then adjust the load order in the right pane to match.

It's all about load order!

I had a similar problem to yours.

Looks like a missing texture. You know, (possibly) one of the ones that reside in \textures\actors\character\character assets\tintmasks (or another folder used by the custom follower mods for the same purpose). Or the actual eye textures perhaps?

Sounds like an issue with that particular mod, so the solution is either not to use it or contact with its author and ask him/her about this issue.

beeknee - I'm using NMM and tried to move mods around. Tried over 20 rotations, but no help.

bjornk - thanks, I will check it right away.

The author is not present on Nexus any longer. He took down his mod too.

If the mod comes with its own eye mesh, that might be the problem. Check every eye related stuff in the package.

Yes, but the mod may not be using the vanilla directories.

The best way to find out the problem is to compare (using TES5Edit) the changes made in the mod's ESP to the vanilla NPCs modified by it and then check if all the files used by the mod (meshes and textures) actually exist and if they are in the folder they are supposed to be. It would also be better to do that while the mod is last in your load order.

Thank you very much for suggestion Bjornk - I discovered that (somehow and suddenly) "SG Female Eyebrows" mod conflicted with "Followers of GOL" mod.

I was killing myself to find the cause since no program (Tes5edit and Wrye bash) didn't report any errors. However, problem resolved y reinstalling "SG Female Eyebrows" and not overwriting "Followers of GOL" when asked.

Thank you guys for your inputs.

TES5Edit will not report any missing assets as that's not its purpose, but you can use one of its prewritten scripts to dump a list of all the assets (meshes & textures) used by the plugin and then check if everything's okay with them.

So, in the end, it was basically a load order issue.

Thanks for letting me know that bjornk. I'm a learner of using Tes5edit. Know some stuff but there is still much to learn. :)

You should switch to MO, it's much easier to figure out and resolve these kinds of conflicts with it.

LOL - everyone is saying that, and I'm using it but only as a method for "learning" stuff since although I do understand it much better then my father, I still do not understand many things. As a mater of fact, I learned that MO is much better mod manager, but NMM is much easer and quicker to use and learn for me. (For now) :)

Have you watched Gopher's video series on MO? You should if you haven't.

Yes, I did, I have been surfing MO thread on this forum too. Still, do not understand some things. Anyhow, when I'll be ready I will start to use MO.
