Indescriptible ENB issue

Hi, I got this fucking thing going on with ENBs lately, just changed my pc so I went and tried better ENBs than Zoners, but all of them have this one thing. It's like some little black squares replacing the shadows, I have no idea how to describe it so I took a screenshot.
post-290274-0-04536200-1444236387_thumb.

You can see it under the chin if you zoom, tons of black pixels where some shadowing should be. Tried disabling effects one by one to see wtf was going on, but it's still there even with all of them disabled. Which leds me to think it's a problem with my nVidia settings, maybe shadow quality on the configurator ? I tried changing some values but no can do, still fucking there.

Try adjusting iBlurDeferredShadowMask in skyrimprefs if that helps.

Did you change the things in the skyrim.ini files that are required to be changed in order for the ENBs to work with Skyrim? Just asking because if you got a new PC that might be one of the things I would overlook because I'm used to ENBs being plug'n'play when they aren't.

bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 must be set in SkyrimPrefs.ini file to make this mod work. Start SkyrimLauncher.exe to configure your video options again.
Sky lighting to work correctly require rendering objects to shadow, so edit manually following lines in file SkyrimPrefs.ini:
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bShadowsOnGrass=1

Nope Tepi, didn't do anything :s Blur masks were at 0, I put them back to 2, 0 changes except for land shadows.
And yep Grim did all this already, plus those lines are about completely different issues than my crappy pixel shadows :/

Try setting the iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 5 or something. You can also post your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini here so people can have a look at it.

Pretty much solved

post-290274-0-21067300-1444351510_thumb.

Except I have absolutely 0 idea how I did it. Uninstalled Tundra ENB, installed Seasons of Skyrim, uninstalled Seasons of Skyrim, installed Tundra ENB back, and now there's a clear improvement. I don't know what kind of file I forgot in there but let it stay there until I delete that fucking folder again.

Thanks for the help guys.

Ah yeah shit, got another issue with ENB so I'm using this post once again.

I'm taking like a 40 fps loss with ENB, like I'm at 49/50 fps, I push F12 to activate ENB, and BLAM WACK A MOLE, 15 fps. Like, I'm not completely stupid allright, I know ENBs can eat your VRAM up and shit, yet that seems a little excessive right ? The ENB is still Tundra ENB, is there something relevant to my laptop's GTX 960m that I have to tweak ?

PS I've tried to lower some values concerning DoF and SSAO, but it doesn't change like even 1 fps in game, so I'm thinking this has something to do with another thing. Which is odd since SSAO and DoF are the most demanding features in ENB...

Reflection and DoF are perfomance killers, try disabling them in the ENB UI and see how it goes. Also if you get 50 fps with vanilla Skyrim your laptop ain't that good, I'm afraid. Also you should disable the FPS limiter if it's active in your ENB, that shit is bugged since forever.

Tried that, didn't change a single fps in game, it didn't change at all ! Plus I get 50 fps with 2K textures, frostfall wet and cold all the sexlab bullshit, and some more script mods going behind, so I think it's allright for the buck I gave it !

well then try disabling every single thing one after another in the ENB UI and see who's the culprit?

R you sure Skyrim is running on your gtx, not on your integrated video? ENBs have problems with this. Laptop ppl usually use "optimus fix" from nexus to solve this.

Even if enb displays its running on your gtx in main menu, it can be a false info.

Disabling reflections and dof should help... Have you pressed apply changes button after disabling em?

So, I've tried disabling everything one by one, but it's only when I disable the last effect that fps goes up again. That last effect can be anything from SSAO to WaterShadows... I tried disabling shadows last, ssao last, dof last, yet it doesn't matter which thing I disable, it's just only when I disable all effects that the fps goes back to 50.

ENB is running on the GTX for sure, since I've tried modifying some of the values in the Nvidia configuration and I can see obvious changes in game. Since the Nvidia configuration panel doesn't change anything on the integrated Intel GPU, I can safely assume the GTX is working properly.

Yes I pressed apply changes :P

I'm wondering if this doesn't have something to do with the binary itself ? Maybe it's not suited to GTX 960M, it's a relatively new GPU not really that widespread and all. Optimization issue ?
