Broken Quest NPC

I'm doing the Nightingale quest where you get the nightingale armor, but Karliah is broken. When we get to the part where she has to pull down the chain to activate the gate she walks up but a few feet shy of the chain before turning around and walking right out of the cave. So I'm currently stuck, I tried to tcl through the gate and stand on the platform the quest marker is at but it didn't change anything cause she kept walking off. I don't think this is a mod related issue an I'm not sure if a papyrus report would have an AI error in it, any suggestions?

Are you using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch? I haven't had this issue since installing it.

Disabling the gate an entering the script for 'setstage' seemed to work the best out of the bunch.

I'm using all the Unoffical Skyrim Patches.
