Need help selectively using armors from a replacer mod

I would like to use one or two armors from a vanilla replacer pack.

 

What is the best way to only use some: for instance, just use the Orc armor, but not the Dragonbone (etc)?

 

Can I edit the esp in the CK and just delete the references to the armors I don't want?

For a replacer mod, that replaces the standard items, yes, you can edit the mod in CK, and delete all the armor and ArmorAddon you don't want.

You may want also to remove all the extra NIFs/DDS for the armors you are not using, just to save space [if they have new IDs] or to avoid the normal items to be duplicated and replaced [in case the Armor is the original one, but the replacement is done via NIFs/DDS only].

 

Just double check if the Armor is actually updated by the ESP or not. In some cases an armor replacer will only update the NIFs/DDS without requiring at all an actual esp with custom content inside.
