Better Vampire Lord Transformation texture issues.

Greetings Lovers Lab,

 

Once again I began skyrim and this time I wanted to be a vampire. After finding sutible mods I was happily on my way to being a terror however, I ran into a texture issue with the Better Vampire Lord Transformation mod.  Everything works fine with the mod except for the body texture.

Not very sure whats going on.  Best guess is a texture is missing somewhere but im not CK savy enough to figure out where the mods looking for textures. Any help is as always appreciated =)

Interesting. I am using Shaydows mod and made some custom outfit for this... I am getting the exact texture problem as in the image above.

 

Any of the pros here an idea?

 

I don't even know how this.. thingweirdtexturecrap would be named as technical term even.

Did you use something like NMM to install or did you do it manually? I did it manually since it looked like they way the files were set up it wouldn't install right with a manager program.

I install everything manually since day one. I don't trust manager programms with any of my TES games to be honest. I am well aware of file structures at that too. It's something with the mesh I think, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what the issue is.

Yeah, it does lack a installer, so NMM or MO would not install it properly. Not sure about NMM, but in MO you could install it, then change the file structure to match what the game will recognize, along side moving the chosen esp file to the main folder, alongside the meshes and textures folder.

The main body mesh is looking for the files in textures/actors/vampirelord/replacer. The mod comes with them, and you may have to overwrite these with the same textures you used for you character otherwise. If using a custom race, I'm not sure how the mod reacts to that.

A: Nope, but YOU CAN! First, download the LOOSE file version of the mod. Navigate to your Skyrim\DATA\meshes\actors\vampirelord\Replacer folder. Now as long as the armor you're picking uses default bipedal slots, such as 32 body for chest / etc, you can just take the new chest piece NIF you like better, rename it VampireLordReplacerChest, and replace the one in the folder! If the body for the armor you want to replace uses a different body texture, no worries! Just go to the Skyrim\\DATA\textures\actors\vampirelord\Replacer and replace any of the body textures you wish! I tried to make this mod a standalone, yet I set it up to be VERY easy for anyone who wishes to customize it however they wish.

 

dumb question I know, but sometimes even the best miss the simple things.  Not questioning your ability or anything but you followed these steps?

 

If so, then did something get mis-spelled when you replaced the textures?

 

Does the mesh match the 32 slot? (i.e have you tried any other armors like a default vanilla instead to try replication?)

 

Is your current body match the armor set you wish to replace the defaul one with?
