UUNP vs CBBE BodySlide

I don't quite get the benefit of using UUNP over CBBE Bodyslide. They both seem to work the same way to me.

So, I made my own preset for the UUNP body, then installed this armour mod specifically for UUNP

Although, it seems like the armour mod still uses the base UNP body. I'd have to go into BodySlide and build all the armours to match the body preset I made.

Now, this is all well and good, but that's precisely how I've done it with CBBE BodySlide for a while now.

Have I missed something obvious? I thought UUNP would make this process a bit easier.

lol.

Easier how? Did you bother to read the UUNP manual?

Did you check the zeroed settings?

RTFM?

Remove fetish goggles, replace with reading glasses, read.

UUNP has better weighting and topology, and features on the fly outfit usage through RM.

First of all, I would have read "the UUNP manual" if I could find the darn thing, if it even exists. There is some really basic info on the LL page and on bodyslide's nexus page, but no "manual".

You could have done it the quick and easy way, and just posted the last part. Or you could do it the overly snarky way, and look like a complete tosser.

Either way, you answered my question, so thanks for that.

Which armor did you use? You might have to save a copy of your body preset under in the same preset group as the armor that you are trying to use in bodyslide. Most supported armor/clothing sets don't require this but I have run into a few sets such as LSAR that require that users save their custom bodies in their preset group. Even then,it isn't guaranteed.

I'm... a little confused as to your problem here.

UUNP and CBBE work the exact same way in Bodyslide. You generate a body shape according to your own settings or a preset, and for any Bodyslide-compatible outfit you install you can generate a shape using the same settings to get outfits that match your body's shape.

UUNP just makes this possible to create bodies with UNP's higher polygon count, and fitting the UNP textures. That's the entirety of its purpose. It's a base body shape, nothing more.
