Adult Play Plus bug, can't fix

Question Player...how about some fun...

Answer NPC (I was not ready)

Result: nothing happens

I managed to locate the problem. It's an AI Follow package defined in LoversAdultPlayPlus.esp. A very basic package with only the tag 'must complete'

I don't feel confident enough to fiddle with the variables so that's all I did in modifying the AI

This is everything I've tried so far:

-removing the 'must complete' tag

-removing the npcs from the gameworld, save, returning them

-all ai related console commands ingame

-deactivating just the esp in OBMM, start game, save, exit game,

reactivating the esp.

I saw this bug on another thread in this forum but no solution was offered. The mod is a small part of Lovers with PK.esm and I'm not too keen on deactivating the whole mod.

I'm not sure either that a newer version would change anything. The version I'm using is Rev 90 1.0 and Lovers Adult Play version 1.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Might be a good idea to update your resource pack v2 first if you haven't already.

Then I would update to rev. 91 on lovers with pk as it does have some bug fixes.

Lastly I would update to adult play plus SSP 1.11.

Make sure you either start a new game or disable all lovers esp/esm files and make a clean save of your existing save.

Thanks for the links, I've decided to update, hopefully It'll work. What does the SSP stand for? Bit confused on that.

If you figure it out, you will be the first. :s

It is an upgrade is the best I can explain things.

I have never heard what the PK in lovers with PK stands for that matter either. I think some japanese doesn't transfer well into english. :P

I am not so sure the must complete is totally the problem, and you have given very little to go on.

Must complete will pop up errors in wander, and follow package's to the editor sometime because the character they are installed on is diabled, or in a cell with no exit's. many other reasons, but these two happen often with quest mod's, and the error actually means nothing.

Say you have a character that is initially disabled until a certain condition is met, and the NPC has a must complete package. The editor will see this as and error. even though it really is not. same thing if character is in a storage cell until needed, with no exits.

Still a lot about Must complete I don't know, but it will sometimes cause trouble, I just have not figured out all the times when it is really a problem, and when it is just a flub in the analyzing software.

I have had it pull that error when the package was not even on and NPC yet, as in adult play packages, and many of mine are placed on the selected reference when it is needed, and removed latter.

Now that can be a catch, sometimes even good working program's can fail to remove a package. Some programs check to see if the package is already on the NPC, this can cause and error, depending on how the script is configured.

1. Has the program lovers adult play ever worked right before ?

2. if so have you added or changed something lately.

3. if it has never worked right, then maybe you have a load order problem. LoversPK is very testy about load orders.

4. if 3 is correct, go to some of the threads on installing LoversPK and read them again. make sure you have done everything right, and then check again.

5. if it is still not working try another version of LoversadultPlay there are about 3 or 4 that are still very usable, and basically the only difference between any of them is a little voice control, and a hassle dialog trip with married ladies.

[that's the quick rap on differences as far as I am concerned, but some will disagree with me.

I wish the modder of Loversadultplay had just left it as a backbone prostitution, or chance to Whore mod, and did there other voice, and adultery stuff in a different mod. But that is just me.

I don't get into repeating "what about love" 10 to 20 time just to advance my Digital fetish.]

@galgat - thanks for all the infos. The 'must complete' flag in the AI - to my knowledge is that an npc will not start a new package unless he completes the current one with that tag, which could happen if he/she has two packages with conflicting time-stamps. What I think might have happened with me is that I invited the npc then saved the game and exited without going through the rest of the routine. Then at next game-start I did something totally different leaving the npc in that ai-package loop - my best explanation. Saving, loading, in the middle of an animation too is something I now totally avoid.

With other npc's everything works perfectly - no hassles. I've updated now to version 91...a lot better but the problem persists. Adult play plus always worked with me, the new version does too. PK extender works fine, version 2.4.3. There's even a version of Lovers PK rev 94 out and I just wonder if it's worth installing coz updating this mod is always a bit of a gamble considering all the esp's involved that depend on the basic package - I'll scout the forum for some hopefully useful answers to that
