XRE - Pilot And Fly Your Own Vertibird!

So I was browsing FNV Nexus recently when I cam across this:

It's a mod that allows you to actually fly a Vertibird! As in, you get in, take off, fly around, and even SHOOT things with a minigun and missiles!

The author actually made a simply game engine that relies on a mathematical formula to simulate physics and such, and it runs besides the game's main engine. Technically, this is an amazing achievement!

I am surprised both Bethesda and Obsidian, which have had this engine for years and years and years, could never (or never cared to) try and tweak it enough to allow for vehicle implementation, and these guys are professional programmers that are paid to to this, and then a 'layman' comes out of the blue and does it from scratch.

It's things like these that make me respect the modding community.

It's very difficult to land btw, and it's seriously advised to download a mod that disables invisible walls. It would be very interesting if he could have a car mod next. Also, sadly, if you TFC, you don't see a vertibird, but a small cockpit instead. Although he has stated he intends to replace it with a full vertibird model in the future.

This mod is awesome in concept but I suck at flying. A car mod (Or preferably APC or bus with all the companion mods out there) would be awesome.

What I would really love to see is an adaptation of the Fallout Tactics Troop Transports with gunports for companions to provide cover fire.
