WWII Weapon addition/retexture

I am simply obsessed with all forms of old firearms, older firearms seem to be far more rugged and reliable. (compare an M416 assault rifle to an original AK-47)

I am wondering if any modders are willing to either retexture or create a select group of WWI and WWII firearms, specs will be provided for realism sake. NOTE: most of these will use ammunition that does not exist, most notable the 6.5x50mm Arisaka and 8x22mm Nambu (damn cheap japanese manufacturing...) so using CaliberX may help very much.

They will be divided into country of development to make it easier to sort through.

A small point that always niggles me. I have classic fallout weapons for both NV and FO3 and in both cases it's ever so slightly wrong on the real detail. not all are wrong but the bren gun is always wrong, rate of fire is 330 rpm at best and magazine capacity is 32 rounds, the BRUNO original lmg from which the BREN was developed had a 20 round mag and was actually used by no less than the waffen SS who could choose their own armament (within german propaganda sentiments). The NV one also has the bren at 25 kilos??? 12.5kg is what it should be. I've noticed you got the m1 carbine at 850 rpm, sorry but it's nowhere near that as you had to had to squeeze the trigger for every round fired, mind you it was a pretty capable weapon for your average infantry. still it's quite fixable if you have FNedit

Don't let the above seem to much like moaning I quite like the idea of this mod,I would love to see more WW2 weapons in new vegas like the webly .455 and .380 pistols

pretty certain the bren or m1 carbine wouldn't be capable of firing nuclear batteries or robots....still best to check on this, a lot of strange things happened in ww2 :P

I am quite sure the BREN was a 20 round magazine, the earlier developed BREN HMG was a 32 round box magazine at 330 RPM,the BREN LMG was 20 round at 520 RPM because of the lighter parts involved in making it,less ammo and lighter metal meant it could be slightly more portable and have an increased fire rate,at the cost of burning through the relatively expensive .303 British ammo.

As for the M1A1 carbine, the M1 carbine you are correct,it would never get to 850 RPM because of a heavy bolt and catch used to operate it,the M1A1 used a light bolt and smooth catch mechanism to help it fire faster, with the count of less accuracy, the maximum fire rate it could achieve was 850 with a trigger happy soldier... or by sticking a matchstick in the catch. Or you could get the M2 carbine with select fire and have it both ways...

You might want to check out the 19th/20th century weapons mod for FO3 as a resource, not sure if the authors are still around.
